Magneto is not a dynamic character. He hovers...like a lot, and gives speeches about mutant superiority. He doesn't need to jump around like a monkey...or Capt Merica.

Even so there is so much they can do with his power other than hovering himself or a stadium...a very slow stadium....Zzzz. :lol

Did Feige personally **** in your Cheerios or something? :lol

:lol :lol

No reason to hate Disney/Marvel/Feige simply because CW is one of the best superhero movies ever made.

That spoiled brat is lucky she has a job, thanks to lord Feige.

Spoiled brat is 100% on point.

As far as the MCU is concerned, Coulson's SHIELD, The Devil of Hell's Kitchen, Fisk, The Punisher, Alias Investigations and The Hand don't exist.

Just wait for Spider-Man: Homecoming to be released and ignore the FIVE superheroes who recide in NYC.

Marvel Cinematic Universe? More like Marvel Disjointed Universe.

Batroc was good with the very limited screentime he had, but nothing spectacular and was pretty much wasted

Winter Soldier was bad ass until the end but he had to turn good anyway

I personally feel like Crossbones and Zemo were both wasted

People argue Loki is the best villain for MCU but I didn't think he was very menacing either and kind of a brat.

I hope they do Thanos justice.

Kilgrave and Kingpin remain the best Marvel villains on screen IMO.

Loki is the only good character in the MCU because he's the only villain that's been fleshed out. I really only think he was good in Thor, he was a joke in The Avengers.

Weren't you complaining the other day about other heroes showing up in Cap's movie? Now you want the Defenders to show up in Spiderman and references to the Shield show?

Technically they are, but Feige has absolutely nothing to do with those shows. The shows have only made like 3 vague references to the MCU.

And that's more than enough to leave the door open for collaborations. We don't need a Spiderman or a Thor reference on every episode, but the door is open.

If you're gonna claim to have an interconnected cinematic universe that includes your TV properties - then show it.

The Defenders don't need to hijack movies like Hulk is doing to Thor, they just need some acknowledgement, as do SHIELD.

They all might in Infinity War.

Don't get your hopes up. D'Onofrio saying Kingpin won't even be referenced in Spider-Man: Homecoming is an enormous sign of the massive and ongoing divide between the MCU and the shows.

I mean, to have irrelevant characters like Tony and Cap in that film instead of extremely relevant characters like Kingpin and the NYC vigilantes??? Bull****.

Feige knows RDJ & Evans sell more tickets though. Because in the end the heart of the MCU is promotion and toys (money), not a commitment to the source.

I've gotta admit the universes feel pretty darn different. I really wanted Daredevil to appear in Civil War but it's hard to picture him fitting in to that airport battle. Similarly it'd probably be pretty goofy to see Holland's Spider-Man interacting with D'Onofrio's Fisk on screen. I'd love to see that all happen but it'll definitely be a tricky juxtaposition to pull off.

Yeah i'm not entirely convinced their amalgamation is needed.

To serve what purpose, BW already does what DD does minus legal advise, unless they want The People v Thanos scene.

I guess Punisher could hunt the unregistered heroes. :lol

I wouldn't say Tony and Cap are irrelevant, especially since Spidey's first appearance on this universe was in a Cap movie, and Tony and Peter have some kind of friendship. As far a Kingpin, he's a bit of a low level criminal, compared to other super villains, so a reference to Kingpin might be more appropriate. Maybe in a sequel he can have some kind of cameo, but in this first Spidey film, they should keep it simple and focus on what's important, and Kingpin is not that important.

Damn, now that you mention it. This iteration of Kingpin has brutally murdered people with car doors and his bare hands...and then you have the youngest Spiderman we've ever had saying things like ''you have a metal arm? Awesome!!'' Yeah kinda hard to picture those two in the same movie...although I'd sure be curious if they could do it

Just finished viewing it. I overall have a meh feeling from it. There's really no character development, and Magneto's whole loss thing was SO forced just to get him to be a villain again. ****ing enough of that angle already. There's so many other villains we can explore and he's more or less the main bad guy in every one of them, except this one as the main.

There's only 2 movies in the entire franchise that happens, FC and Apocalypse. He was evil throughout X1, X2, X3, and DOFP.

There's only so much you can do with Magneto in an X-Men movie. As much as I like him, I think it's time to shelf the character for a bit, or just give him a spinoff recruiting his Brotherhood or something. The next movie really should focus on Professor X and the X-Men.

Yeah, I meant the three new ones. In FC he starts as a baddie, then goes good, then goes bad again.

Anyway, I like it how Magneto can be responsible for millions of deaths (I think that's the death toll mentioned by one of the generals), and the professor is still going "I know there's still good in you..." and then Magneto just goes on his merry way.

Don't get me wrong, I like the character, but his death toll is kinda extreme, isn't it?
