I love Thanos, he's my favorite Marvel villain of all time, but under Feige I'm expecting the most restrained version of Thanos ever. And after six years of cinematic build-up that'd be just tragic.

My greatest fear is that they'll turn him into what Ultron basically was. Comic relief.

When Ultron joked about not being able to physically throw up in his mouth I threw up in my mouth. They really diminished the sense of threat from him by making him quippy.

Yeah. I like a little camp in my superhero movies (you don't have to take yourself TOO seriously 100% of the time), but I really prefer my villains to be more on the serious side rather than a frigging clown.

Unless we're talking about It.

I haven't seen Ultron in a while, but doesn't Hawkeye kind of make a joke/quip about it being a long day when Quicksilver's dead body is still in the frame?

That movie was just so weirdly messy when it came to the overall mood/tone.

Uhm... well, yeah... so I watched X-Men: Apocalypse.

I enjoyed it, but it irks me that Magneto has to go throughout he same character arc in every single movie... "I'm a good guy, no, I'm going to destroy humanity because society has made me evil, no, I'm a good guy". It gets a bit, hum, repetitive.

There's only 2 movies in the entire franchise that happens, FC and Apocalypse. He was evil throughout X1, X2, X3, and DOFP.

There's only so much you can do with Magneto in an X-Men movie. As much as I like him, I think it's time to shelf the character for a bit, or just give him a spinoff recruiting his Brotherhood or something. The next movie really should focus on Professor X and the X-Men.

I hope if we do get another movie with Professor X and the gang, that Magneto doesn't make an appearance at all.
