I hate when actors try to get all philosophical and **** about their movie and character. It's like dude, you're playing a 12 foot grey and blue mutant...enough with the humanity crap. Just give us a bad ass villain who likes being bad because he can and no one can do crap about it.

Villains without good motivation often come off lesser. Apoc has a great philology so relaying that with detail will provide substance to the character

:lol

I still have yet to see DOFP. I really enjoyed First Class and have been a big fan of Apocalypse since the X-Men Animated cartoon.

Oscar Isaac Says 'Apocalypse' Will "Bring The X-MEN Down To Their Knees" In 2016

The news that Apocalypse will be in Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past sequel was met with a widely positive response, but some fans are worried about how the director will go about bringing the iconic villain to the big screen. Is he going to look like his comic book counterpart or something entirely different? Either way, it sounds like it will be pretty intimidating! "I’ve seen a couple things," Oscar Isaac told MTV News at the National Board of Review Awards red carpet recently. "Scary s–t. Scary s–t… I’m going to bring [the X-Men] down to their knees. It’s amazing, I’m so excited about everything that’s going to happen." What do you guys think of these comments?

Taron Edgerton, Sophie Turner Eyed For 'Cyclops' And 'Jean Grey'; Who's Testing For 'Storm'?

Latino-Review have scored a cracking X-Men: Apocalypse scoop, revealing which young stars are being eyed for the roles of Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Storm in the 2016 movie. A shortlist emerged late last year of course, but here's a new one for you! For Scott Summers, Taron Edgerton (Kingsman: The Secret Service), Jamie Blackley (If I Stay), and Tye Sheridan (Mud) are all being considered. Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones) and Saoirse Ronan (Hanna) are being looked at for Jean Grey, but with the latter missing out on roles in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, is she interested in a big franchise like the X-Men? Regardless, we also have news on Storm, as Alexandra Shipp (Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B) and Zendaya Coleman (K.C Undercover) are both possible candidates. All pretty solid possibilities here. Who would you guys pick?

Yea I would be content with either of those two, if Taron Edgerton can successfully pull off an american accent then I he would be my pick for Scott, he should have a nice notoriety boost once The Secret Service comes out.

Glad to see Singer going older/late teens on these characters. The first batch of guys looked to be barely in their teens. The female choices look very good. I like Ronan for Jean, and Shipp for Storm. Not sure about the Cyclops pick but hopefully it will be well cast. Fingers crossed that they add in the Angel/Archangel storyline and find the right actor for that role. A young Alex Pettyfer type would be perfect. Hope the story is epic, the cast is solid, and the art direction, action sequences, character design and costumes look great. Actually starting to really look forward to this one.

Not sure if this has been discussed;

If this movie is set in 1983, and they are looking at mid-late teens for Scott, Jean and Storm, that would give their characters a birth year of around 1965-1968.

X-Men is set in 2004 I believe. This would give Scott, Jean and Storm an age range of 36-39.

X-Men: DOFP finale is set in 2023, giving Scott, Jean and Storm an age range of 55-58.

There is now way they are 55 years old in DOFP. They look 45-50 at the oldest.

When is it stated it's in 2004? The film came out in 2000 and it states "in the not so distant future." Besides, I wouldn't read too much into the timeline considering the series got rebooted.
