I had already addressed that. The "how do we know the good guys from the bad/if they're shooting at you they're bad" exchange could have easily been something that Jamie Lee Curtis and Arnold said to each other in True Lies. Arnold isn't a better actor than Evans (far from it), he's just larger than life in a way that sells those exchanges a little better.

An amazing aspect that Evans brings to the role of Cap, and one that I would never have expected or anticipated, is that he retains elements of "skinny Steve," even as Cap. And why wouldn't he? He's the same guy! In the comics we just know him as this awesome Mr. Olympia type who runs around commanding everyone with great authority. And I really like that. Any reference to his life pre-serum gets maybe a panel or two of flashback mention every few years or so at best.

But one thing that my wife mentioned after we saw TFA was that she had a hard time seeing him as a "hunk" after his transformation because he so cemented himself as the scrawny version of himself. Which is actually pretty amazing since buff Cap was the "real" Chris Evans. If creating totally unity with a big and smaller CG/body double version of yourself isn't capable acting then I don't know what is. That's just a real place where Evans shines. Even when he's pounding people into snot in TFA and TWS he still wins you over by making you almost feel like you're still rooting for the underdog. Because you were with him in the beginning and he sold it so convincingly.

I think to really highlight the commanding and imposing aspect of his character for future films they really should shy away from recapping too much of his origin. Don't focus so much on an actor capable of playing a dual role and just go balls out with a more larger than life version. Then he'll "feel" a little more like the comics, even if Evans' take will forever hold it's own on it's own merits.

Thanks DiFabio and Snoop. :duff

Beautifully put.

Just finished watching TWS with wife and son, he loved it.

I always keep referring to the elevator and street fights, but the reality is that every fight in this movie is spectacular, dare I say epic.

Even though Raiders is my favorite movie, no other action movie out there can touch TWS in the fight choreography, and music attachment during the fights.

Yeah yeah, the movie is certainly espionage light, but who cares, still fast paced, brutal and exciting.

DOFP is a good movie, but it can't touch the action in TWS.

It really is hard going back to other action movies after TWS.

I can't believe I allowed my son to watch WS punching Cap's face that bad at the end. :horror

TWS definitely had better action than DOFP.

Will 'Dazzler' And Other '80s Characters Make An Appearance In X-MEN: APOCALYPSE?

Despite the fact Disco was pretty much dead when Dazzler made her debut in 1980, she's still a quintessentially '80s character, so it would make a lot of sense for her to make an appearance in X-Men: Apocalypse. Her inclusion would be very interesting to see play out on the big screen as there are a number of directions they could take with such a character, so what are the chances she does turn up? "Could happen," writer Simon Kinberg laughed when asked just that by EW. "We’re certainly looking at mutants that would fit into the period." Who fits that description? We'll have to wait and see. Regardless, Kinberg and director Bryan Singer have big plans for exploring that decade. "That’s the era that I grew up in. The music, the fashion, the videogames: We really want to integrate all of that in the movie, and have it infuse the movie with a different vibe."

I am glad Moira is back.

I would love to see Longshot, Dazzler and Spiral. Cable too if they could make that work. Is Bishop coming back?

I don't want to see more time-hopping in this one, or '90s characters in general. So no Bishop or Cable. Spiral and Mojo though? Hell yeah. I loved the Longshot mini-series as a kid.

Mojo would be awesome. Seeing that guy come to life on the big screen would certain be a sight.
