Ian McKellen Will Return For X-MEN: APOCALYPSE; THE WOLVERINE 2 = X-MEN 4?

In an interview with Oregon Live, Patrick Stewart revealed some very interesting details about the future of the X-Men franchise which might just get him into hot water with bosses at 20th Century Fox! He's Patrick Stewart though, so he really doesn't have to worry about that kind of thing. Anyway, after saying that he believes the chances of him being in X-Men: Apocalypse are "very unlikely", he confirmed that we will once again see the older version of Magneto.

"But Magneto, Ian McKellen, is certainly going to be in it," the actor told the site. How on Earth he will factor into this story is a mystery as of right now, but that's certainly an interesting development. However, even more intriguing is what Stewart revealed about plans for The Wolverine 2. "And what I'm very excited about is that we have been talking about a Wolverine movie, which would team Hugh Jackman and myself together. Wolverine and Professor Xavier. That would be a very different sort of "X-Men" from the four movies that I've already done."

If that movie is set in the new continuity we first saw at the end of X-Men: Apocalypse, some cameos from other returning favourites might just give fans the X-Men 4 movie they've all been waiting for. What do you guys think about a possible Wolverine/Professor X team-up?

Wolverine and Professor X?.......................meh

I'd prefer no teams ups. I quite enjoyed the Wolverine so I'm happy for him to continue his own journey and returning for X-Men movies when Fox needs him :lol

I wouldn't mind them introducing Jubilee into the film though. I always liked her with Logan

Or orrrrrrrrr. How about a wolverine vs hulk movie?

O right studio greed. Never mind then.

GAME OF THRONES Star Sophie Turner On Playing 'Jean Grey' In X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

IGN caught up with Sophie Turner to talk about X-Men: Apocalypse recently, and while the actress has yet to see the script (meaning she had no idea about whether or not Jean Grey will be getting a costume or how big her role will be), she did still share some interesting details about her role in the movie. "I think maybe one of the reasons that they chose me for [Jean] is because they saw the dark side of Sansa," she told them about landing the role. "Maybe they're thinking, 'Oh, Phoenix, Jean Grey.' I definitely see a lot of parallels in there. [Jean] struggles with her power... and not being accepted in the human world. I think in terms of [Game of Thrones], that's kind of the way Sansa felt in that she really wanted to be a normal princess/queen and live a normal life -- and she doesn't, because of all this havoc happens. I think Jean, in a way, feels that."

While she may not be entirely sure about what direction X-Men: Apocalypse will be taking Jean Grey in, the Game of Thrones star did say that she wants to "bring something different to the character," adding: "I think Famke played Jean incredibly well, but also, I'm playing a younger version of her. I want to emulate Famke in a sense, because she has to seem like the Jean in the first two movies, but I'm also going to put my own twist on her. I think I'm also going to take inspiration from the comics. I don't know, we'll see." That will obviously be music to the ears of fans, and it sounds like Turner can't wait to fully delve into that research. "I'm really, really excited to play [Jean]. She's an icon." Be sure to share your thoughts on these comments below.

I always thought Famke was kind of boring in the role, I'm loving everything I'm hearing from the younger cast and how they're prepping for the role.

The thing with Jean in the OT was they were building her up slowly and the pay off was supposed to be X3 but it got neutered.

In the first movie they showed her as a telepath with untapped potential that she had to learn to tap and control. Magnetos device triggered something inside her.

Then in X2 that took shape as her power being unleashed here and there without her being able to control it.

X3 had her unleashed but it got lost in the mix with the cure storyline taking a lot of the spotlight
