I'm wondering if theres not slight changes in the timelines and how the characters turned out when this starts. If we were solely going by the end of FC, you wouldn't think they'd be popping Magneto from a psych ward, which is what seems to be going on here.

Theres got to be some rift in how the characters are when wolverine time travels.

Just further proof it was a snub to his inclusion in Avengers 2, where he'll actually be a thought-out character vs. "Random Muntant C-lister included to spite Marvel Studios."

I really can't wait for this series to be rebooted and get the proper treatment. It's been nothing but a disappointment from day 1.

This franchise has had 6 films, only 2 critically panned when they were under subpar directors. A bad x-men movie has not been made yet while Singer has been involved.

Also on most superhero websites, DOFP has been voted most anticipated movie of 2014.

The series isn't perfect but as of right now there's no need to reboot anything, especially when they have some of the best actors working today casted

I figured they'd have the role in the draft, screen test actors, choose an actor, have the actor accept, negotiate the salary, commitment to sequels and so on with the actor, have the actor sign a bunch of contracts and then announce the casting

It must be a much more streamlined process if they can do all that in the two days since Whedon mentioned he might use Quicksilver.

He wasn't even on the radar until Singer's tweet (which came AFTER Whedon's announcement). He's not even a main character, just an afterthought more along the lines of how Cyclops and Emma were in Origins.
