I think Singer is actually what's saving Fox's X Men. When he left, we got 2 subpar films, when he came back, which was actually First Class, the movies became good again. The only X film that was good and had nothing to do with him was The Wolverine, and I think that's the worst out of the good films.

Sorry I just don't like Singer's vision of the X-Men. For me, I think that's it when if comes down to it. I think Singer is good a good difector, but not right for X-Men. I loved First Class, LOVED it and with Singer producing and writing the story and Vaughn directing I think it was great.

I also think the X-Films get a lot of flack in general. Sure, they have black leather costumes and are more "realistic" than Marvel Studio films... but if the costumes are what bothers people the most, is that such a horrible thing?
Yes. Yes, it is a horrible thing. Shame on them.

The suits and character designs in DOFP annoy me, and that's an understatement. But I'm really with you on Singer. I think Vaughn is probably the more capable director at this point in his career, but Singer is good, and was primarily responsible for two of the X-films I like best, including one of my top comic movies. I actually have expectations that DOFP will be pretty good, despite the lame *** character designs. My expectations for Cap 2 are higher, but. . .

Singer isn't a hack by any means, but he's not that great. His take on the X-Men make good films, but he really doesn't get these characters. Cyclops was utterly useless and boring. Jean was basically the damsel in distress. Storm was miscast, and his insistence of focusing on her is annoying as it seems neither he nor Berry get her as a character. Rogue is written so poorly and whiny it hurts. And the all black costumes is so drab. But I like that he attempts things. until The Wolverine, he gave us hands down the best Logan fight ever in X2. His Nightcrawler and interpretation of his powers is among my favs in comic book moviedom. I just hope he get DOFP right. I like what I've seen in the trailers. But it's like either he or FOX is afraid to just dive into this universe with both feet, and make these films what they should be.

Dude, i just hate the fact character are there just to be there. Honestly Pyro wouldve been a better choice over Sunspot, conflicting with Iceman at every chance and wouldve had better visuals with his fire manipulation.

I just dont like the shortcuts most of the movies take with the characters. X2: Guest Starring NightCrawler, X3: Guest Starring Angel Juggernaut and Jamie Madrox. Some consistency would be nice.

So Singer's view and character's being brought in to just be in the movie is my gripe lol

Well, not that I'm trying to defend him, but I can understand maybe the guest character thing in the sense that there are a lot of freaking characters in the X-Men comics to potentially deal with. And if they all had to stick around for all the other movies, they would either be relegated to background roles or ignored altogether. By having Sabretooth in 1, Nightcrawler in 2, Juggs in 3, we at least get some focused attention on those guys for a single film.

Probably because you didn’t have a mirror in front of you when you were doing it :lol

It was just a joke :lol

Don’t be so literal and laugh!

But your joke was stupid. Minus Weapon XI and Gambit, I've even stood up for Origins. :dunno

DofP has been bad choice after bad choice with some ********* shots at Marvel Studios. That doesn't translate to "hating the whole franchise," unless separating the films is well beyond your mental capabilities.

Naw I understand what your saying kara, its just They could handle them leaving a little better.

I don't think Jean was a damsel in distress at all, and Singer focused on Storm? I thought besides Cyclops, she had the least to do in both films he directed.

I think he plans in making the X universe huge. We already know Apocalypse is the next movie, and might be getting Gambit, Nightcrawler, Jean, and Cyclops back for the next movie.

Bad choice after bad choice? Only negatives I see are the future casts' costumes. Everything else is exceeding even my expectations.

The exclusion of established members like Rogue and Nightcrawler to give a middle finger to Marvel and cameo a couple background characters who're inconsequential, the Sentinels look like straight-up post Taco Bell *******, the costumes are absolutely stupid and impractical, Xavier's future "chair," the list goes on and on.

It's like Singer hasn't seen no other comic book films the costumes are terrible yea I honestly think this will be the weakest of the 4 this summer AMS2will be better then this and it's saying a lot lol.

If they give more First Class I'll be happy, those characters, I feel, are much more fleshed out and as a result ended up being more fun and exciting.

I think Singer said the movie is more of a FC sequel. 70% past and 30% future.

That is absolutely lovely, I'm a happy camper everyone can die in the future lol mean of me yes but hey, I have issues with the whole Wolverine and his Xmen thing.

I actually hoping this happens bring a end to their story in this and move ahead with the first class cast.

A whole passing the torch kind of deal. Im with the characters established in first class. Not a huge fan of the team in the comics so i can appreciate movies where I don't have to rely on basic comic history of the team.
