The TimeTravel / Kittys powers WILL BE EXPLAINED. She'll probably use her powers in tandem with some others to make it work. JUST LIKE THE COMIC :lecture

In the Comic she doesn't travel back in time in the traditional sense she (with help) has her mind travel back and take over her past self. Since there's no past self for Kitty in the 70's, it makes sense for Wolverine since he is the only X-Man usable in the '70s that isn't a part of the events (Prof X, Beast & Havok)

At least the whole cast isn't going back in time.

I'm pumped. If it has that same chemistry as First Class, I'll be happy.

I'm fairly open minded when it comes to these movies, giving them plenty of slack when they shift characters around and such. But this one really annoys me. Are they giving Kitty the time travel powers just because Ellen Page is a hot commodity now? That's ridiculous. :slap

What's wrong with introducing Rachel? Or even just another telepath? Why give Kitty powers she absolutely does not have? I mean, it could have even been Rogue doing it, and had a brief explanation that she permanently stole a telepath's power like she did Ms Marvel's in the comics. It just seems so random, besides my Ellen Page is hot now theory.

I doubt the Time Travel will be a Kitty power. Singer tweeted ages ago that he discussed the time travel device with James Cameron and went over the variables.

I'd imagine it's done via Kittys Phasing power and another mutants power and possible a third all working in unison.

Rachel would be cool, unfortunately doesn't fit with Jean and Scotts history in the movieverse.
Filmmakers have to reduce decades of comics to fit a 2 hour movie. Doing characters like Rachel, Cable ect are very hard to do onscreen because they have so much baggage of things needing to have happened already to get them accurate on screen.

If They toss her in and there'll be arguements about how she "fits" :lol

Hopefully it'll be a merging of X2/FC quality.

If Ratner or Hood was directing this i'd be miserable and expecting the worst. But Singer has done one good X-movie and one great one. People love to ridicule him, but as far as X-Men goes the only other person i'd be happy helming it is Vaughn :)

She fits fine so long as you ignore the abomination of cinematography that was X3.

Havok. Returning from Vietnam perhaps?

Honestly I do have faith in Singer. I've seen most of his movies (except Apt Pupil and Jack the Giant Slayer), and they are all solid, well-crafted movies. I'm sure whatever they do may not be accurate to the comics, but will make sense in the scope of the movie.

But I still think Rachel would be fine as an addition. You don't even have to get into her back story for this movie. Just leave it vague for now and leave it open for a possible future storyline.

I'm not sure if it's that people love to "ridicule" him as much as it is just seeing what he truly is....average. X1 and X2 are just okay, but they're nothing special. And don't even get me started on Superman Returns.:lol

:exactly: they aren't great not even good.

**** the haters. X-1 is a modern classic, and the reason we have a mainstream superhero genre in the first place.
