Just saw this movie tonight. All I can say is HOLY ____! best movie of the summer and year so far. I hope they make another one with the same characters. I'm not an X-Men fan by any means, but this movie was awesome. I really hope they continue with the same characters. Especially Magneto. That guy is a total B.A.
Loved every minute of it!!!!!:yess:

Thor Was an enjoyable not too serious almost parody film. I hate Thor but I enjoyed the movie a lot.

XM First Class was a really great film. IMO it's better than the first but not as good as the second. Way better than Wolverine and X3... dont even mention that in my presence.

My biggest problem with First Class? It felt like it was missing the X-Men. Charles and Magnus were great and Magneto was the guy who had all the coolness factor. Frikking amazing. Loved him. But the rest of the characters were the lamest in the X-Men universe.

Loved FC though... Great film one of the best comic pictures of all time.

IMO These are the cream of the Crop comic movies...

Dark Knight
Batman Begins
X2
X-Men First Class
Iron Man
Watchmen
Sin City

Good but not as good as those ones I's say...

X-Men
Superman
Batman
Batman Returns
Blade
The Crow
Thor
300

Bad but I like anyway...

Punisher War Zone
Wolverine

Anything else is just BAD...

Iron Man 2
Both Hulks
Blade 3
Every other superman than the first
Batman 3 and 4...

bad bad bad bad :(

For me - the only one missing from the cream of the crop list is V for Vendetta!

The previous X-Men films are of no competition, IMO. Love the X-Men comics and cartoons, but never really enjoyed the first three films. Fassbender's portrayal of Magneto was ____ing brilliant (although I'm positive that has been mentioned many times in this thread :lol). Everything in this film worked, and it has me excited for a sequel.

X:FC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> X-Men 2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Others

I was a huge fan of the first two movies, and I love that this movie redeemed the franchise for me. I also love that they did it while focusing on my favorite X-Men character (Magneto).

I loved McAvoy and Lawrence as well, but Fassbender was absolute casting perfection.

Its kind of neat that there are no kids toys cashing in on this movie. Even that seems to lend to the air of it being a higher "class" film. Bring on the Hot Toys though!

I've seen the first two, but haven't seen xmen origins or x3, but if they are gonna continue like this count me in!:yess:

Totally agree.

Didn't enjoy this as much as i was hoping. I though Magneto was indeed amazing but everyone else was just meh. Even Charles Xavier's part was disappointing, and Kevin Bacon totally killed it for me.

They really should have made X:FC more of a drama and just focused on Charles and Eric's relationship. i felt like they just flew through all the character development parts with a little musical montage of experiences so they could hurry up and get back to the special effects parts. By the end i wasn't entirely convinced that Professor X and Magnito ever liked each other at all.

I'm seriously not trying to be that guy who just rips on everything everybody else likes, but i really think they missed a great opportunity here to take "comic book movies" to a whole new level. something that actually invokes thought and is more than just corny effects.

:(

The only aspect of the movie that feels weak to me is when we first see the transformed Beast in the hangar. Something about that just seems half-assed and cheesy.

That's the only reason I didn't give it a 10/10. That scene didn't sit well with me either. Everything else was top notch.

I would have enjoyed seeing Hank have more time to get used to being Beast....... His transition comes so late in the film the time wasn't there to spend on it.

Yeah they went the cheap safe route, I kinda liked that tho, some things are nice kept as a mystery and they did show glimpses of him changing from a first person perspective.

I enjoyed Kelsey Grammar's Beast to the Beast in FC.

Mainly because I'm getting a stupid Morrison Cat version from FC's. The only thing from that wreck X3 that is better.

Yeah Beast looked too much like a Blue Wolfman. The guy couldn't talk with the fake teeth is his mouth. Totally ruined it. They should kept with the Grammer look for sure.

Yes, thank you. This is exactly how I felt about the movie. The movie was great overall, but I really wish they'd instill a stronger bond between those two characters like they had in the comics.
