Probably best to not trust any company. I'll be getting both though. It's just another toy to me.

I'd say that some companies are more trustworthy than others, and Microsoft certainly wasn't truthful at all with this console from the beginning. Especially during E3, when their Xbox One games were running on $4000 Windows 7 desktops, and not the "dev kits" that they claimed to be using.

And even though they've gotten rid of DRM for now, the very fact that they're still outwardly courting the idea when mentioning the future of the console (in reference to that blog statement from the Microsoft employee), makes me suspicious about their plans for the long run.

I've bought toys at $500, like most people on this forum. But, I think that this is probably one I can do without

The one thing I hate about fanboys and this goes for both sides. Ok mainly the xbox side, because admit it the fanboys on that system rage harder than any other system. Is when anytime something gets brought up about the PS4 such as PS + they have to come up with rediculous statements that are completely untrue, because they have never used it and have no idea what they are talking about. Pisses me off so much. I have used every system this gen so I would like to think that I have kept up with how things work. Some dude I don't even know is arguing with me about the ps4 about how the xbox is the much better system and how PS has to give away free games to even get customers. I then politely told him that my computer destroyed both systems and that they both suck he didn't reply since lol. Not that I think both systems suck, because I will get them both I just said it to get him to shut the **** up.

Pretty much a little better than what you've seen in XB1 and PS4 plus slightly better physics.

PC was able to get photorealistic graphics for a couple years now and it's something that consoles are just starting to do.

BTW I still think consoles are better in terms of the games consoles get, IMO.

This is Metro Last Light on PC, I was gonna put ARMA 3 which looks breathtaking in terms of photorealism but it doesn't show very well on screeshots.

Fan boys are the plague of the gaming community. But I completely agree with you, that I've seen some awful vitriol come out from the hardcore Xbox guys more than the supporters of the other consoles. It's just ridiculous how fan boys go out of their way to do PR work for a company without getting paid a dime.

Personally, I'm not loyal to console. But, I love Metal Gear Solid, and that franchise alone is the reason for why I stayed with Playstation for the last three generations. I also had a great experience with my Playstation 3, (absolutely no quality control issues to speak of) and that's why I've decided to stay with them for this generation too. I honestly can say, that Microsoft's recent handling of the Xbox One and all of the hub-bub about DRM just made the decision to get a PS4 all the more easier for me.

Search the YouTube and compare games like Tomb Raider, Sleeping Dogs, Batman Arkham City, or any other title with a PC release, and you'll see how much more superior in graphics the PC is to the consoles.

Even a mid-ranged PC today will be able to run circles around both the PS4 and Xbox One.

Plus, you won't get porn viruses, if you don't watch porn .

that tressfx ponytail is ugly! I see the differences but they don't make me **** my pants. I saw a crysis video and that's an oldass game but it looks amazing still. those frogs in crisis look good

Sure there are PR games, here, Crysis was the 1st one I heard that got a photorealistic texture pack, I haven't upgraded my PC in a while, but I'm sure you can find other examples.

There's Arma 3 too.

I've never had a bad situation with Sony either. And after The Last of Us, and Beyond Two Souls coming up I can't see ever jumping ship as long as Naughty Dog and Quantic Dream stay exclusive to Sony. But that is just one reason of many for me to stay loyal.
