If the voice control works, then it's faster than the controller, since it's got a similar deal to what the motion controls have--you have to navigate to what you want which you don't with voice.

"If" is the main issue. Theres still no rhyme or reason that I can find as to when it acknowledges my commands and when it doesnt. Im in a quiet room and saying the commands as clearly as I can. Ill say it three times exactly the same way and itll only recognize the third attempt....for some reason. I could've done it with the controller by then. Im not saying the kinect is a bad idea. I just dont think its ready for mass consumption yet. It needs more development time imo.

I haven't had that issue, the only times I've had it not work is while I'm watching TV or a movie and that sound is loud.

Maybe your kinect is better than mine. im in a silent room and cant get it to work every time. Three attempts is common. It will often acknowledge that I asked something, but wont know what exactly. Thats when that little window pops up at the bottom asking me to give it a command. $100 well spent. I doubt ill ever buy a Kinect game. Not into dance games and those seem to be the best games for it. Bring on the vr.

Snapp, did you read that Carmack departed ID for Occu.

Yeah, he's apparently still connected to Id, but is heavily involved in the rift development now. A pretty huge score for Oculus. We probably won't see what comes of it until the hd dev kit is released or when they finally release a retail version. I'm hoping to hear all about this stuff at E3. 2014 could be the year of VR if Sony, Oculus and MS show off what they're working.

There are some simple features that they've made more complicated with Xbox One Live.

I miss seeing pop-ups for when my buddies sign on. What happened to those?

Getting to party chat and such is annoying. You have to navigate 2-3 menus just to get into a chat with your friend(s) and the voice chat option is buggy and hasn't been working right since launch. Audio quality is much improved though! But where is Private Chat?

Game invites follow this trend and are somewhat annoying. Overall navigation to simple features on the 360 take longer on the XBox One Live system.

A HUGE FLOP: Why can't I see my hard-drive? How much space am I taking up? Can I delete my save files? Where do I even see this stuff?

I don't really care to always jump back to the Dashboard in my game. I LOVE the speed that it works at but I don't need to be back there all the time. I wish there was a quick menu pop-up like there was on 360 Live.

No more HD access for deleting purposes.

Unknown space usage because in theory you will never run out of space. It will automatically delete a game you haven't played in a long time when you download something new and you are low on space. If you try to play the older deleted game it will need to reinstall it.

Some games allow save file access, others won't.

I accidently found an options menu for the system in general after much searching. It may be there. Seriously was searching for 5-10 minutes and just stumbled upon it. I'd keep looking.

cool adds like this make me want an XBOX one.

All that and only 5 PF them look good.

Also you would think after all the xbox360 problems they would , check and check again to make sure there is no problems instead of being greedy to meet the Christmas hype.
Also all of the games in that add were not Xbox only titles.

The fact of the matter is I will buy one for halo alone when they sort all the bugs out.

IGN'S first weekend with the xbox one.

Awkward silence at the beginning. not a good sign.

PS4 got a 8.2 /10
my prediction is that it will get a 7/10

My nephew still dosenr have xbox one and he is about to cancel and preo a PS4.

sucks I wanted to do an unboxing or see it in action.

Would be pretty retarded to give it a 7 but wouldn't surprise me with ign. Its a fantastic machine.
