I can almost guarantee they won't be using this Luke heaad sculpt for any other Luke!?!?!? Maybe an X-Wing Luke, but certainly not 'classic' tatoonie Luke.

Yeah, I was wondering if Yavin Luke would be more "clean-cut" than Tatooine Luke...

Jedi Luke is the sculpt I'm the happiest with so far... it's just the way they paint the eyes that makes these figures look so daft. (luke.. aragorn.. etc)
This will totally blow you away then.

Looking at the pictures of Leia, this figure is as good as if not better than that. I cannopt wait to see what people make of it.

You know you want too. What fun is it seeing it without breaking the news to everyone else.
Sorry, but I haven't anywhere I can link to it. If I could upload a sneak picture direct to the forum of it I would, but have to work, so haven't got time to do it. I'm sure it'll be out when America wakes up in a few hours!!

Yes it is. I think on first impression people will think, errrr, but if you watch the scene in the film, it is as near spot on as it could be. There is no way they could use this sculpt on tatoonie Luke, without it looking odd. Maybe they could use it on an X-Wing Luke, as before he takes off for the Death Star.

X-Wing Luke I could almost see as being a two head piece because to keep the helmet in scale, his hair would have to be sculpted as if the helmet flattened it, but then would look weird with the helmet it off and for people wanting to pose him with helmet in hand that wouldn't go over well, but multiple heads could solve the issue and reusing this sculpt would be a cost saver because the molds and everything would be done. As for Tattooine Luke, I don't imagine this sculpt would be reused for that as you've said, I haven't seen it like you, but from watching the film, he does seem to look different enough from Tattooine to the final ceremony. Looking forward to seeing this figure, that's for sure.

Big message for Sideshow!!!

Whilst I initally thought this figure was unbeatable, I have just been playing around in photoshop with the eyes?

When i first saw it I would have given the figure sculpt 10/10. But after playing with the eyes, if you drop the eyes very slightly so his forehead is extended, and the space between his nose and mouth is reduced, you have a photo image of Mark Hamil.

It's hard to explain, but as soon as the pics are officially released, I will post my two verisons. It's still a great item, but it could be much better! I am amazed at the difference, dropping the eyes slightly makes.
