Of course you have the right to post your thoughts.

I am trying to look at the bigger picture on THIS figure though. It's an "exclusive" because many won't want it, BUT it's going to lead the farm boy Luke and X-wing Luke very soon most likely due to using the same head sculpt.

I don't cheer up on every announcement. I didn't like Bubo, the Holo Chess set and some others. I am just looking at what this figure leads to which is 2 other Luke's that I will be rather excited about.

Cancellation aside, for any reason, this line could come to an end or become more difficult to purchase through the years to come, I deffinately think it'd be good to get key characters in all of their versions before expanding too far into background characters. I do like the background characters that round out a "collection" of figures, such as Jabba's palace themed figures, it all works to create a nice whole, but like say Garnidan may be a cool figure, but ultimately wouldn't add much to a collection. Seeing what has been done with this line so far, I want to see Palpatines, the remaining versions of Obi-Wan, possibly more Anakins, Vaders, Lukes, Hans, Leias, Landos, etc., and at the rate this line is moving, it would probably take 5 years just to accomplish that, and much can happen in a time span of that size that could bring a halt to this line, or something could happen to raise the prices to a point where it's very hard to collect these pieces, so I deffinately agree with getting lots of the main characters while we can, and if SSC production gets better over the coming years and they can turn out more than 12 figures a year, then add Clone Troopers and Greedos and other characters that would make for impressive figures.

I'm actually pretty excited about this figure. I always liked the yellow jacket look. Hopefully they get the body right this time and I'm really hoping that they don't give him some silly grin. I know he smiled a lot during the ceremony but I think a vanilla face would go over much better.

Well for starters you've chosen two possessives and a contraction-- one of these is not like the other--- one of these just doesn't belong... Oops, this isn't a grammar thread. LUKE ROCKS!!!

I've just seena picture of this, and has it's got 'Do not publish' I suppose I have to honour Sideshows request.


I will try and talk you though it though.

It is the Luke from the final scene for episode IV. He has a yellow jacket over a black shirt with a medal around his neck. Blaster pistol around his waist with the brown trousers, oops sorry, pants, with shiny black boots.

First impression was very good. The head sculpt is excellent. It's almost looks like an older episode 4 Luke, but looks as near perfect to the scene as I can see.

It blows the Jedi Luke out of the water. I would say it is on a par with the Leia sculpt. I would love to post it but fear being kicked off the board if I do, although I'm sure it will turn up somewhere somehow, before too long.

The price of this item seems to be slightly cheaper than the Fortuna and Endor figures, back to the price of Maul. It is released in May, and is a non attendee verison.

I will wait to see pics to determine if I will order this Luke. My upcoming mortage is going to eat up most of my extra money, so my 'fun money' purchases will have to be well thought out.

This is a pretty good choice, but I would have prefered Xwing Luke. I understand Sideshow doesn't want to do such a major choice like that for an exclusive, but Yavin Luke is cool. I am curious if they can nail another Mark Hamill likeness. I suspect that will be the determining factor for many.

You will be ordering it then!!!!

I won't be getting this figure, but I can't wait to see the sculpt. I'm guessing we should be able to get at least two more Luke's from this same sculpt. I wonder how and if they'd pass the savings on to us?

I can almost guarantee they won't be using this Luke heaad sculpt for any other Luke!?!?!? Maybe an X-Wing Luke, but certainly not 'classic' tatoonie Luke.
