I agree. Nolan's films are so good that Burton's and even Schumacher's takes are no longer frustrating "missed opportunities" but rather alternate versions that have their own appeal despite their silliness (or downright awfulness in B&R's case.)

In the same way LOTR took the pressure off the prequels having to be great so I could enjoy them more as well.

Thats an excellent way of seeing it. Although nothing has ever made me able to enjoy the SW prequels, for me ROTS gets worse the more I try to watch it.

Honestly, I love em' all but Mask of the Phantasm for me. It's criminally underrated!

Loved the Burton era with the one real Bruce Wayne, Michael Keaton, really liked Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy and hated the way studio execs shoe-horned the neon-cartoonish elements into Schumacher's films.
