The Omen is such an underrated movie. Masterfully photographed, perfect pacing, direction, and editing. It just sucks you in.

And that Jerry Goldsmith score.... :naughty

End? I stayed until the credits came out. Admittedly I was desperate to leave by that point as a group of grown men, must have been in their 20's were annoyingly shouting and jumping at every loud noise in the film. Was irritating as hell. Was there anything after the credits then?

@ jye4ever as well :)

yes, after the cast credits are done rolling.

u get a POV of this mexican store, and some guys talking in espanol
they go into send store walk around and say...

"this is a witch craft place, i dont wanna b here, lets go"

they turn around n come face 2 face with this old lady...she said

"this is only the start of things"

and both guys run out.

Your welcome. No god

Sorry to hear you didn't like it.

I, on the other hand, enjoyed it. Specifically, I really like the direction they took with creating the vampires in this movie.

In other words, the vampires in this movie is how I would like to see vampires.

They appear dirty, stained with blood on the clothes they were wearing when they 'turned'. They appear to have animalistic behavior and movement, yet intelligence enough to communicate and show some form of planning. They attack only with their teeth and claws.

I'm really not into the vampires that dress nicely. Are always clean. I dont' like the vampires that can look as a normal human would then turn whenever they like (i.e. eye color changes, fangs grow). Don't like when they use rifles, guns, knives, etc.

Weak ending, but I love this vampire design. :yess:

Love all those movies. :hi5:

Just watching interview with the vampire. Don't really think of this as a horror movie, but its on tv and I couldn't turn it off. Always find it sucks me in. Really engaging.

Oh yeah, I love part 3 for that very reason. But I think the first is the only one that is genuinely creepy. The rest are just badass with jason in the mask hacking people up. Of the whole series I'd say part 1 and part 4 are my favourites. I just think the first one is the creepiest.

Have you seen the nightmare on elm street remake? It seems to generally be hated but I really enjoyed it. Watched the original last week sometime but wanna fit the remake in sometime before halloween too.

All the new Universal Blu Ray Collection is the focus of this years Horrorfest 2012 at the house. I cant recomend this set enough, the restorations are incredible. So far Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, and Dracula. This week: The Wolfman. the Mummy, The creature from the Balck Lagoon, and the Phantom of the Opera. Busy week! LOL

Yes! Part IV Friday the 13th rocks! :hi5:

Well, the thing with the Elm street remake is that it felt like it was trying to do too much with the kids. I was just hoping Freddy would kill them in their sleep in creative ways. Didn't care too much with the kid in the asylum side-story.
Also, the first time they reveal Freddy's face, I'll admit to being disappointed too. He looked smaller and less threatening compared to the original Robert Englund.

I rate it a 6/10.
