My gf lets me get away with it, in part because i only get to see her at various points of the year (as she lives in Holland). So in between visits it's kinda a gf substitute (not in that way )

Take it from one of the "old guys"- if you let your relationship stop what you enjoy, you're cruising into problem territory. Life is so much better when your wife/girlfriend (or maybe both! ha ha) at the very least tolerate your collecting without resentment. Trust me, you'll keep seeing things you want, and people rarely change who they are.

Funny thing is that we are both nerds, and its time to be one of the old guys sadly I need to consider moving out and starting a life with her. Its about responsibilities I'll never stop loving them(Hot Toys etc.) but I can slow down and just get at least 1 a month(her point being I was always broke). This lets me choose what I want, I think once I get the responsibilities out of the way I can get on board again. Her dad collect coins and those are way more expensive than my hobby, but he's allowed to have his collection cause he pays for the bills and the house. Once I can do the same I'll have no worries from her. She wants me happy but I need to be responsible .

My main goal is to have a few pieces that are really spectacular in a movie room. My GF is super cool with that idea. Like I said before it's the clutter that's distracting and that most people seem to mind. Like glyoung99, this is a reason I have been steering away from 1/6 figures for a while now. Even if you only have a few they still look kind of awkward and bad on a shelf compared to a really nice PF.

I was wondering, I didn't want to assume their without a confirmation as my Godfather's gay and is in a civil partnership.
