I'm almost certain that you really did see a very small person that day.
I was just thinking, because when we're young, our imagination is so wild, we can create things in our head without seeing it with our eyes. I wonder if the black eyes detail was a trait added in your head after years of suppressing the memory of this encounter.

I was like five years old, though. If I was as tall as I was next to him, he must have been a really, really small person that was hanging out in the woods.

True, the fact that you recall having to look down to him and he had to look up at you.

In your research, how tall are these beings the tribes people are referring to?

From what I had read, which was just a little bit of skimming, they range from one to two feet in height, but there are variations in the folklore and legend between different tribes' legends about them.

Afraid of sharks... boy, did you choose the wrong branch to enlist in. :D

How do you feel when you see them in aquariums, like at Sea World for example? Are you able to walk up to the glass and watch as the bigger ones swim past?

:lol And I initially signed up as a Rescue Swimmer!

I can handle them in aquariums and places like that, because the environment is controlled. But swimming? I don't play around with it. I equate it to walking around in Tiger habitats, you are playing in their food dish.. you have entered the food chain.. It's possible. So I just choose to not take that chance.

I hear ya. Great analogy. :hi5:

I use to surf a lot when I was much younger.
One time, my buddies and I were out in Port Hueneme, CA. Swells were reaching 12' next to the pier.

While waiting to catch that perfect wave, I thought I saw a fin pop out of the water about 130' away to my right. I asked my other two friends who were also out there with me if they saw it too.

They did not.

One of my friends catches a wave. Then my other friend catches a wave. Because I was being so picky, I stayed out to wait for a bigger wave.

Then, about 30' away from me to my right... this dark head pops its head out of the water. Big, marble-black eyes looking right back at me. I SWEAR, I caught the next wave that came in which was a smaller 7 footer that I normally would have passed on. It was slow and I was panicking, looking at the water below and behind me almost the entire time. Nearly fell off from all the nervous shaking in my legs.

Needless to say, I rode that wave all the way to the sand, picked up my board, and ran up the beach.

That f___ing seal ruined the rest of my day and I have never been back to that spot since. :lol

This story is creepy.

The Expressionless

In June of 1972, a woman appeared in Cedar Senai hospital in nothing but a white, blood-covered gown. Now this, in itself, should not be too surprising as people often have accidents nearby and come to the nearest hospital for medical attention. But there were two things that caused people who saw her to vomit and flee in terror.

The first being that she wasn't exactly human. she resembled something close to a mannequin, but had the dexterity and fluidity of a normal human being. Her face, was as flawless as a mannequins, devoid of eyebrows and smeared in make-up.

She had a kitten clenched in between her teeth, her jaws clamped so unnaturally tightly around it to the point where no teeth could be seen, the blood was still squirting out over her gown and onto the floor. She then pulled it out of her mouth, tossed it aside and collapsed.

From the moment she stepped through the entrance to when she was taken to a hospital room and cleaned up before being prepped for sedation, she was completely calm, expressionless and motionless. The doctors thought it best to restrain her until the authorities could arrive and she did not protest. They were unable to get any kind of response from her and most staff members felt too uncomfortable to look directly at her for more than a few seconds.

But the second the staff tried to sedate her, she fought back with extreme force. Two members of staff had to hold her down as her body rose up on the bed with that same, blank expression.

She turned her emotionless eyes towards the male doctor and did something unusual. She smiled.

As she did, the female doctor screamed and let go out of shock. In the womans mouth were not human teeth, but long, sharp spikes. Too long for her mouth to close fully without causing any damage…

The male doctor stared back at her for a moment before asking "What in the hell are you?"

She cracked her neck down to her shoulder to observe him, still smiling.

There was a long pause, the security had been alerted and could be heard coming down the hallway.

As he heard them, she darted forward, sinking her teeth into the front of his throat, ripping out his jugular & letting him fall to the floor, gasping for air as he choked on his own blood.

She stood up and leaned over him, her face coming dangerously close to his as the life faded from his eyes.

She leaned closer and whispered in his ear.

"I...am....God...."

The doctors eyes filled with fear as he watched her calmly walk away to greet the security men. His last ever sight would be watching her feast on them one by one.

The female doctor who survived the incident named her "The Expressionless".

There was never a sighting of her again.

A spiders eyes and.. sunflower seeds..... dont ask. Hate those damn things.... also I hate gas station restaurants.

One thing I have always found very strange about my incident is that my mother and father were apparently yelling at me when I took off running. I don't remember hearing their voices AT ALL.

And like I said, the trail curved around the bottom of a very wide hill..so when I ran, I eventually was out of site to my parents because of the curvature.
I thought I had only ran 30-50 feet away and that they'd walk around the curve any damn second..but they didn't while the whole encounter took place. Then when it was over, I ran back to them and they were like, right at the same spot or just a bit ahead.
It sounds kind of silly, but it's almost as if time froze or became very still in that moment. More evidence that points to that is how slow the creature seemed despite the fact that he was running/jogging. It felt like I was watching him run in slow motion. And his head turned to me very, very slowly.

My mother has always said that when I began to run, it was completely unexpected. Says I never turned back and just basically sprinted off. I don't understand why I would do that.

It must not have been a dream if your mother remembers your father talking about it.

Do you remember what the UFO looked like?

When you say intent on running, let me add that he didn't seem scared or anything. I didn't get the feeling that he was running from something..it was strange. When I saw his face, I remember it being completely neutral. Not happy, sad, scared, surprised..just neutral. Everything about it was so neutral.

If you had put a 50 foot wall of solid steel in front of him, he would have ran straight through it without it having any effect on him.
That's what it seemed like at least.

Perfect, invincible, solid motion.

The best description I could give is that it was small but big enough for me to notice it and i remember it being metallic but not shining, it was more of a brushed metal, it just seemed to hang in the sky completely motionless with no sound whatsoever, which was odd as since then i have seen planes at roughly the same height in that fly over my grandmothers's all the time and you can hear them from the ground. I really wish I had written it down when i was younger or at least drawn it at the time. It isn't so much the object itself that i remember it was the fear that it caused in me I remember being incredibly scared, so much that i was screaming for my parents. That's the reason it stuck with me over the last 18 or so years, because at that small age I wouldn't have had a concept of what a UFO was or if seeing something like that should be feared or not. At most at that age i would've just thought "oohh a weird looking plane" and then paid it no attention. It was like somehow i knew that it was something i should be afraid of, probably didn't help that my dad's only response was "Don't worry, it's just one of those flying saucers", cause that's gonna relax your kid. The way he said it made it sound like these sort of things were commonplace and you saw them as much as you saw planes or birds.

Looking back on it logically some sort of plane that i have mis-remembered would be the easiest explanation and i could except that if the memory itself isn't associated with an intense amount of fear. The way my mum talked about it to me made it sound as though i was hysterical over the sighting and they couldn't calm me down, both my parents remember the reaction I had to it but my dad just refuses to talk about the whole event at least to me.

I must say though back to your encounter that the way you sprinted off for no reason and then fell at a specific spot out of view from your parents, it's almost as if something drew you to that spot and that you were meant to see the creature that you saw, and it is odd that time seemed to freeze or slow down around it but maybe that is what allowed you to see this thing.
