I still think the Rake/ wendigo might be more likely than the aliens,
I suppose I think so too.
Like I said, I don't remember ever seeing art or drawings of a ghost/demon/monster/etc that resembled what I saw very well besides the Rake/Wendigo.
Aliens however, are usually depicted as tall, skinny, grey (white) humanoid beings.
And it seemed more interested/curious than aggressive. From what i've read about the Wendigo/Rake in the past few days, they seem to be very sinister and evil...whispering to people in their sleep, killing, etc.
Like allot of people I love a good paranormal story and I can empathize with you guys when you talk about questioning yourself as to whether your encounter was a real, a false memory triggered by something unrelated or even just a simple dream.
One thing I have always found very strange about my incident is that my mother and father were apparently yelling at me when I took off running. I don't remember hearing their voices AT ALL.
And like I said, the trail curved around the bottom of a very wide hill..so when I ran, I eventually was out of site to my parents because of the curvature.
I thought I had only ran 30-50 feet away and that they'd walk around the curve any damn second..but they didn't while the whole encounter took place. Then when it was over, I ran back to them and they were like, right at the same spot or just a bit ahead.
It sounds kind of silly, but it's almost as if time froze or became very still in that moment. More evidence that points to that is how slow the creature seemed despite the fact that he was running/jogging. It felt like I was watching him run in slow motion. And his head turned to me very, very slowly.
My mother has always said that when I began to run, it was completely unexpected. Says I never turned back and just basically sprinted off. I don't understand why I would do that.
I have always had a memory that up until recently I had assumed was a very vivid dream, when I was very young, probably around 4 or 5 I remember being at my grandmother's house with my parents, it was a bright day and the sky was completely cloudless and a I remember looking up in the air and seeing a UFO. I remember screaming for my dad and asking him what it was, he replied in the most nonchalant fashion saying that i shouldn't worry and it was just one of those flying saucer things.
What lead me to believe it was a dream was my dad's reaction to the situation, where he was so calm and paid this object in the sky no attention whereas if this event actually occurred I would have expected him to show some kind of reaction to it such as wanting to grab a camera and take photo's or at the very least going to fetch my mum and grandmother so that they could see this to.
As a result of this i just decided to myself that it must have been a dream albeit a very vivid dream and hence I just forgot about it until earlier this year when i asked my mum if anything like that ever happened that she remembered. My mum told me that she didn't remember seeing anything that day but she does remember my dad talking about it and trying to reassure me at the time that it was nothing to worry about.
So then i started to think that maybe i did see something that day and that this whole surreal event that for years I had assumed was a dream may have actually happened.
It must not have been a dream if your mother remembers your father talking about it.
Do you remember what the UFO looked like?
There are several things that could be mistaken for UFOs..and I would say especially at the age of four-five.
When I was three-four I remember seeing these giant lighted circles in the sky at night and running inside to tell everyone...turned out they were just spot lights.
I've mistaken birds for planes because of how high some fly.
There's also satellites and meteors...
...edit: nevermind, I just asked my mom about those lighted circles and she said none of us knew what they were and that there were actually three of them and they looked exactly like stars but slightly larger, and they would randomly like, zoom to a different spot in the sky. Another alien encounter.
Lar'ja Thwei: I can only imagine how strange your encounter must have been and i must admit the creepiest aspect of that to me i the idea that changes in terrain didn't affect the creatures movement, it just seemed intent on running.
When you say intent on running, let me add that he didn't seem scared or anything. I didn't get the feeling that he was running from something..it was strange. When I saw his face, I remember it being completely neutral. Not happy, sad, scared, surprised..just neutral. Everything about it was so neutral.
If you had put a 50 foot wall of solid steel in front of him, he would have ran straight through it without it having any effect on him.
That's what it seemed like at least.
Perfect, invincible, solid motion.
