I'm the same way. Aliens don't do much for me, but I still enjoy watching the movies about them.

Ghosts, spirits, possessions, and demonic entities on the other hand... they scare me and I LOVE watching the movies about them.

well, the thing is,
(And this is going to sound crazy or over the top for some)

but what we think of aliens are not really aliens, well, at least that's what some people believe,
they are evil beings from another dimension (i know, I know that sounds far fetched)

some people believe that some aliens are not aliens, but a different kind of entity, that they travel through dimensions and not through space,
some even say they are dark, almost "demonic" in Nature,

I do not believe this, but the theory scares me, even if is fake, it makes me wonder and feel a little scared

I'm talking about aliens here, on Earth. Of course the universe is big enough for life in more than one location. Trouble is, any two of those locations are a long way from each other. Almost a waste of time to go from one to the next. You can hypothesize that more advanced technology could enable such long voyages, but that still begs the question of where the aliens here might be.

But, people have no problem guessing what their origins may be, without having bothered to confirm their existence.
