Where do you guys live where movie theaters are open right now? People keep talking about theaters but they wont be safe or at full capacity for a long time. Many chains will go bankrupt anyway. Black widow may not even be released in the theaters, they cant keep pushing back the date. Nobody careS about the ****ing theaters during covid, give it a rest all ready. Ill say it one last time marvel is making tv shows with Falcon and bucky, and scarlet witch and vision-so its ok if marvel does it but not dc.
Just get yourself a nice 77-88 inch oled and booming atmos surround sound and you wont care about the theater.

Why are so many people taking a dump on this announcement ... I don't get it.
Yes WB f'd up in a huuuuuuge way many many times: initially by hiring Snyder to be their Feige if they didn't like his vision (although I like that the DCEU and MCU were so differently tonally), then not committing to his vision once they had kicked off their universe that way, meddling constantly (not going with MOS2, forced cuts to the BVS runtime so that the movie would play more in theatres etc.), constantly knee-jerk course correcting to try to copy marvel in order to get those yummy post avengers MCU box office (destroying suicide squad - who knows if it would have been any good but what we got was poor), doing the dirty on Snyder when he was going through a family bereavement, throwing stupid money at re-shoots of Justice League to try and make it more like the avengers complete with Whedon on board with horrific results and tonal clashes with the rest of the DCEU at that time, rushing the release of Josstice League so they could get their bonuses, keeping some of the DCEU characters but getting rebooting others so there is no cohesiveness going forward, losing Affleck as batman.
It was a mess and a disappointment.
We will never get a release of the Snyder cut in cinemas at this time because if it succeeded or did better than Josstice League then all of the idiots at WB who forced Josstice League on us will be revealed to be the very idiots that they are. That's never going to happen, they want it buried. That's why WB's parent company (people who were not connected to those decisions) stepped in and took the Snyder Cut off their hands and positioned it for release on their streaming service.
Would I prefer a cinematic release, definitely. Is that on the cards, no. I am happy to have some form of conclusion / closure to Snyder's DC movies, errrr that's a hell yeah. I don't see the point griping on about 'oh wouldn't it be better in the cinema like that Captain Marvel and AOU' BECAUSE what is on offer here is a world with only cinematic release of Josstice League or a world with Josstice League followed up by Synder's Justice League released in episodic format. Undoubtedly it will be spliced together by a fan and released as a movie later so we can watch that way and I'm sure it will be shown in cinemas one day as one off events.
This is a win for the fans of Snyder's DCEU and something I didn't believe would ever happen.
Now I wish they would #release a decent sequel trilogy to Star Wars on Disney+

Theaters are closed now, but I think we're all hoping the pandemic is under control by some point in 2021. And I can't see the major studios sitting idly by while the big theater chains go bankrupt. It's hard to make money on films when there's no place to screen them.

A ****** movie like Trolls2 made pretty good money with the at home release- im not so sure thats the case anymore. Ill pay 30 bucks for my family of 3 to watch movies at home- it will save me money in the long run. They can cut out the middle man- theaters are not going to do well even after covid insanity dies down- they need a vaccine long ways away

Darkseid will not have a huge role in this, we will see his younger version mostly before he is darkseid. If anything we will get a guardians of the galaxy like thanos appearance of the real darksied at the end. If this cut is well received you will get to see darksied on the big screen. These actors did not like the way wb treated snyder- they will work for him anyday. I could see ben picking up the mantle for part 2 again. Look how fast they jumped to his support and how willing they are to take part in this. Notice how both cavill and affleck were in limbo after the whedon ********, it went to **** after they fired snyder right after his daughter died. How ****ed up is that. Now cavil is back and ben is willing to shoot more scenes if need be. Its not a coincidence

If that’s what you get by looking at that Darkseid then I’m willing to bet you never had any intention on giving this a chance to begin with.
I think he looks fine. As I posted, there’s a mural from a cut scene where he has his full armor and is likely thiccer.

That's where I was coming from; what did he have to gain by posting a pic that looked that rough? The Snyder Cut zealots were already in his corner. IMO he should have teased the imposing/menacing version. I understand not wanting to "spoil" him for people, but it would have been the better call.

If i recall our first glimpse of thanos in guardians looked pretty bad too lol. They fixed him for infinity war but that first look was terrible.

At this point were lucky to be getting his cut of Justice League at all.

Relax Jye. Nobody thought this was coming out so the Snyder fans get thrown a bone when they were told JL was dead and gone. Snyder May never return to dc so for some this is the last time they?ll see his vision of DC.
Not a fan of Snyder or what he?s fine but I get why some are content with this. It?s way better than nothing .
If they released it in theaters I highly doubt they?d get the numbers anyway. Nobody but hardcore fans care about the Snyder cut but with streaming everyone can see it without going to the movies
