You have a very bad habit of taking something and twisting it to an extreme

Do you not know how to enjoy things on your own? I didn’t see those in theaters, still love them.

I didn’t see half of those movies in theaters you listed in your rant either, but still enjoyed the ones I did see.

Seeing a film with random people in a movie theater means very little to me. Has no impact on the quality and makes it less enjoyable.

Its sad what has happened to the movie going experience over the last 20 years. People are so rude and inconsiderate these days I believe many people feel the way you do about the experience.

Back in the day, the experience was much better, people were more considerate, and we didn't have all the immediate gratification of streaming, 1,000-channel cable, blurays 3 months after release, etc. We had 3 networks and a few cables channels... and movies. So the movie-going experience was really something quite special. But those days are long gone.

So the movie-going experience was really something quite special. But those days are long gone.

We also didnt have huge 4k oleds and atmos surround sound with booming bass. Home theater options have really surpassed the theater experience in many cases. Ya movie theater screens are still alot bigger but many theaters do not update their tech so the picture is actually worse than the home viewing experience. Imax is the only thing that rivals top end home theaters these days but you pay a premium for these showings. I got movie theater in my house, **** all the those crowds, Sticky floors, previews and overpriced concessions. I will admit that i miss the old days when vhs was the only option, theaters seemed to care alot more about the experience than they do now

HonestlyI haven?t had a bad theatrical experience in quite sometime and I live in a massively populated region.

I don?t go to those Alamo theaters because I actually prefer crowd participation during my viewings because all the movies I prefer are made better by crowd participation.

Even still the alternative to denying new JL a theatrical experience is not to cut it up into 6 individual freaking pieces at least have the decency to show it uninterrupted.

I can't stand the cellphone light going off every 5 minutes all around me. I haven't seen a movie in the last 5 years where someone's phone didn't light up in my eye view at some point.

I used to hate screenings as a kid because they were no fun, but now I prefer them because everyone there has a true and deep respect for the theatrical experience. Every-day Joe (and Jane) sucks now.

Yes, this for me, more than anything, has kept me from going to the theater more often. Now that I know I can watch Dr Strange in a mere 3 months on my home theater, I'm less inclined to see it at the movies.... something that just 10 years ago would have been unheard of for me to say.

I never saw Rise of Skywalker in the theater -- my first and only Star Wars movie that I have never seen in a theater. Hardly ground-breaking for many here, but for me... totally earth-shattering.

In fact, there is probably 4-7 movies per year at best that I feel I need to see at the theater now.

If hbo cuts it up like that its to keep people subscribed. Same thing disney plus did with mando, they broke the normal netflix streaming mode by making people wait a week for each new episode, rather than allow you to binge watch the whole thing at once- its how these service make money, the good news is it wont be meddled with and no limits on run time by executives that only care about the bottom line. There is a simple solution to this, just wait until all episodes have streamed before you subscribe then binge watch it- it will be like watching a full movie you just have to click play a couple more times


Hbo better have 4k ready to go by the time this airs. Its complete failure to launch a streaming service in this day and age with no 4k lol. They wont get many subs until they add it.

Does your theater serve booze lol you seem to enjoy them more than most. The last time i had a great experience was in a theater that served booze, though im not sure if i enjoyed it due to the environment (being in the theater) or the booze lol

So what you two are saying is that a brand new JL movie from the guy proclaimed the savior of the DCEU from the anti Marvel establishment warrior Zack Snyder himself the one true genius of superhero movies that his brand new JL movie is not worthy of a theatrical release.

So what you two are saying is that instead of getting together with all of the other Zach fanatics in a movie theater to enjoy what was supposed to be the DCEU fan event version of an Avengers movie you would rather watch his magnum opus over a freaking 6 week period!

So what you two are saying is that deep inside Snyders heart he is happy his masterpiece will not be enjoyed in a movie theater with his diehard fans that started the movement and instead be consumed no different than a CW show you are telling me that this was always his ultimate goal with his JL!

I can?t believe DC fans especially the Snyder cut fans are actually pleased with the end result of their movement being a JL tv series.

What will those 6 weeks break period do to the narrative, action and pace of his vision.

Seems to me WB is failing Snyder again or should that be the other way around.

The negativity and whinging is not just on this snyder topic its on every DC movie thread its tiring. If Wb casts a actor people whinge about him or her. If they hear a rumour they don't like they whine and it's not even fact yet. They hear a movie is in the works they whinge even though the studio hasn't confirmed it. The list just goes on and on.

Regarding the Snyder cut that ship has sailed i myself have accepted his reign is over the DCEU has moved in a different direction i am just glad i get to see his completed vision because i loved MOS, liked BVS and also liked the first half of JL. I accept while i like Snyder who mind you is not perfect has his flaws there is a big chunk of people who do not like his vision, style etc that was reflected in the box office takings. WB is a business they need to do what is best for the studio not what is best for me.

Speaking for myself, I'm a superhero movie fan first and foremost, so if this is well done and enjoyable it won't bother me in the least. But you'll notice I said movie fan, so I'm in Jye's camp in that I would prefer it be released in theaters. And regardless of how many hours long it ends up being on HBO Max, it won't erase the mistakes WB/DC made starting with BvS of rushing the shared world process, nor will it make me forget the disappointment I felt watching it unfold on screen for the first time.

As for Darkseid, I'll admit to not knowing his backstory (I didn't know who Thanos was in 2012 either), but if Snyder didn't want people to mock him then he shouldn't have shared a photo ripe for derision. I mean seriously, what is the average person supposed to make of that? And what's with the tiny head? Is it because the CGI for it wasn't done, or is the body actually his version of a Hulkbuster suit? I mean, the proportions are that far off.

Marvel zealots are threatened by dc, I dont blame them either. As a marvel fan too i can admit that most marvel characters are 2nd rate copies of dc characters or in thors case norse legends. The only true original ones are spiderman, hulk and cap. The three main marvel characters that werent stolen or copied from a dc character in some way also happen to be their best characters.

If DC wasn?t so stupid they would of best marvel a long time ago. But no they didn?t believe in there characters and said they would t sell and now they see people want to see these characters on the screen and they don?t know how to handle it. They literally had a head start in all this with Batman 89 and superman. Could of easily made a connected world . But nope.

Thor kinda sucks tbh. And honestly they didn?t have all there characters. Now they have X-Men and FF and partly Spider-Man. I?m sure they?ll be fine. Also black panther .

Unless DC gets its **** together and start producing movies other than Batman they?ll do fine.

How they green lit a teen titans go movie before an actual teen titans movie is hilarious.

I wish we had a feige type person at WB who knows what fans want.
