Re: Zack Snyder's Justice League coming in 2021

Ya cavill is back because they are giving snyder an outlet for his justice league cut and righting a major wrong in the past. Plus all those ******* corporate big wigs that were running dc films back then have been fired and replaced with people that not only know what they are doing but have a conscience, common decency and the foresight to fix the mistakes made by the ones they replaced

Re: Zack Snyder's Justice League coming in 2021

Snyder and his casting....Gadot alone was worth it all. I think Snyder and Affleck have been treated badly by WB in the past- maybe current regime will see the light....Affleck may not want to be Batman again but he deserved a solo film. Maybe he screwed himself by his circumstances but we were cheated by what could have been. His Batman/Wayne was just tremendous and felt just perfect to me.

If this does well there is a good chance affleck would come back for a part 2 especially if snyder was the director. Whedon made a joke of his character, he also has overcome his alcohol problems and is doing much better now. He really likes snyder and would work for him again, his open support of this cut and willingness to film more scenes is evidence of that. He said he was done with the role before all this came to light, that was his way of supporting snyder, and as a parent himself, he was pissed off at the way wb treated him.

Re: Zack Snyder's Justice League coming in 2021

That is young Darkseid called Uxas. This will be a flashback sequence. This is my prime example of people making up their minds when they don't have the correct information they only have their feelings not facts.

How did you conclude I'd made up my mind about Darkseid? I clearly stated that I don't know his backstory. I was criticizing the picture that Snyder chose to post, as IMO the figure's features were barely discernible and he appeared to be pin-headed. Based on other posts showing Darkseid's comic appearance, I'm giving ZS the benefit of the doubt & assuming the finished product will look good, but that doesn't change my view that posting that original picture of him (or Uxas) was a mistake.

I am having a hard time picturing how Darkseid makes anything more than a post-credits appearance as the next level of big bad, as it doesn't seem like ZS will have enough time to give us a good build up for him. I get the impression that a lot of his cut will add back character development for Flash, Aquaman and (especially) Cyborg that was discarded after his departure, so unless Zack (a) replaces Steppenwolf with him or (b) films JL2 as well and tacks it on for the HBO Max release, it seems Darkseid's screen time will be quite limited.

You are probably correct that the Darkseid we know wont make an appearance until the end, but we will see his younger self kicking ***. I really think wb is going to use this as a launch pad for part 2 and act as if josstice league never happened sort of like marvel did with incredible hulk even though they kept the ross character as the link for all of them

Do you think we'll see his younger self in a flashback, sort of like the one in JL when everyone united to beat Steppenwolf in ancient times? Because otherwise I'd be curious how that would work vis-a-vis Steppenwolf, who was already hard enough to defeat. Based on Steppenwolf's appearance in BvS and his JL flashback scene, I got the impression he'd been the fully formed Darkseid's errand boy all that time.

Re: Zack Snyder's Justice League coming in 2021

If DC wasn?t so stupid they would of best marvel a long time ago. But no they didn?t believe in there characters and said they would t sell and now they see people want to see these characters on the screen and they don?t know how to handle it. They literally had a head start in all this with Batman 89 and superman. Could of easily made a connected world . But nope.

Durrr Wonder Woman doesn?t sell. Derp.

Marvel put a proven Feigi in charge WB put a greedy Kevin and comic book man with no history in movie producing Geoff Johns. That is the difference i do believe DC has the better overall characters yet they play second fiddle on the big screen.

I understood as if you thought that picture was of Darkseid. And that photo is not of Darkseid but is Uxas. Well at least i believe it is Uxas in a flash back scene if that is fully grown Darkseid then Snyder is clueless which i know Snyder is not.

As for Darkseid, I'll admit to not knowing his backstory (I didn't know who Thanos was in 2012 either), but if Snyder didn't want people to mock him then he shouldn't have shared a photo ripe for derision. I mean seriously, what is the average person supposed to make of that? And what's with the tiny head?

Zack Snyder's Justice League coming in 2021

I?m surprised Zack made up with Cavil after learning what he was doing behind Zachs back.

Based on what Grace was saying he really burned his bridge with WB demanding more money for a franchise that was in trouble and that his agent and the Rock had him go back now to WB with his tail between his leg before WB recasted Superman and Cavill was also unemployed because no one wanted to work with him due to his difficult behavior

At least Cavill has come back to earth and lowered his demands. Now studios might want to work with him.

Hopefully because he is a great Superman but that actor Grace posted also had a cool look to him but Cavill is still a beast.

Man this HBOMAX launch is turning out to be quite the disaster lol

Re: Zack Snyder's Justice League coming in 2021

That's where I was coming from; what did he have to gain by posting a pic that looked that rough? The Snyder Cut zealots were already in his corner. IMO he should have teased the imposing/menacing version. I understand not wanting to "spoil" him for people, but it would have been the better call.

Ah I gotcha, sorry I was a **** with my reply there. Yeah I’d like to see big boi Darkseid, but I’m wondering if Zack is trying to save some “surprises” for this.

He just confirmed on VERO that’s not the final Darkseid.

This trailer nailed the tone and intention of the film I made. Methodical. Layered. Complex, beautiful and sad. After the BVS reviews shell shocked the leadership at the time, and the success of Deadpool - My soulful drama was beaten into a ?comedy?

This was reshot because the tone was ?too dark? - My first act was a normally constructed film. I took my inspiration from Nolan. There were real scenes with incredible acting between Jared and Margot. Joker was terrifying. Harley was complex.

They do. They absolutely do. This was just a moment in the past - Those involved have moved on. The studio is in a great place today and encouraging filmmakers to make their vision.

Incidentally, Namor predates Aquaman.

Re: Zack Snyder's Justice League coming in 2021

Speaking of Superman casting, was watching the latest season of Curb Your Enthusiasm last night and was reminded John Hamm would?ve made a good Man of Steel (though he ruled himself out as too old).

Looking forward to the Ayer cut- matter of time

Re: Zack Snyder's Justice League coming in 2021

I’m looking forward to the cut Leto footage. I can’t say I’m too excited to see any more of the other characters, except for Katana. It’s rumored they cut a good chunk of Affleck’s cameo scenes, hopefully they’d be included too.

JH would be perfect for a kingdom come one off movie but is too old now to be cast in a reoccurring role that spans years and many sequels

Re: Zack Snyder's Justice League coming in 2021

Its sad what has happened to the movie going experience over the last 20 years. People are so rude and inconsiderate these days I believe many people feel the way you do about the experience.

Back in the day, the experience was much better, people were more considerate, and we didn't have all the immediate gratification of streaming, 1,000-channel cable, blurays 3 months after release, etc. We had 3 networks and a few cables channels... and movies. So the movie-going experience was really something quite special. But those days are long gone.

Agreed... Did you have to go outside and turn the antenna to get some of those channels like I did :lol

However I still enjoy the theater and I live in a smaller populated area.. Very rarely have annoying people at the theater.

Only time I have ever had a theater experience ruined was at Deadpool. Had to move because the chick next to me kept repeating every joke that made her laugh... then the next seat I sat in the guy behind me just overly laughed at everything... That was most of the theater actually... it?s like they were all trying to one up each other to prove who was the biggest Deadpool fan by getting and laughing hardest at all the jokes... blah
