Take this with a grain of salt but this new superman flick may not be a reboot after all. ZSJL already making warner reconsider certain aspects of the reboot lol

A recent leak claims to reveal several details about J.J. Abrams and Ta-Nehisi Coates' Superman Reboot, including that the movie will be set within the DCEU and feature a black actor as the Man of Steel. However, this will not take the place of Henry Cavill's Clark Kent/Kal-El, who will still exist in this iteration, with Abrams and Coates' Superman said to be a new character.

"The part I was excited for was that Kal-El is NOT the last son of Krypton. There are others and has been a goal for Warner Bros to include more representation in their characters. As it was pitched, this character will exist in the same Universe as the likes of Wonder Woman and Aquaman. Won't be a one off like Joker or The Batman. Heard nothing about Clark Kent being involved in the Coates/Abrams pitch. But Cavill's Superman would be the inspiration for the other Kryptonians engaging the world. Whether that Superman is Cavill or not, I have no clue. The only thing I heard was that Cavill was in negotiations last Spring. Of course that's way before this new Superman film was pitched so I don't know what role his Superman would have played."

THAT WOULD SUCK!
The Superman from J.J. Abrams and Ta-Nehisi Coates should be the Superman from Matt Reeves universe or a standalone movie like Joker.

Finally getting to watch this but I've decided to stop at part 6 and resume tomorrow.

I'm someone who has always been disappointed by MoS and BvS and I have to say this - so far it's exceeding my expectations - not only better but vastly better than the theatrical release. Everything is grander in scale, everything has more oomph. Each hero is more fleshed out and interesting, the threat of Steppenwolf and Darkseid feels more ominous. Everything about the resurrection of Superman has much more tension and emotional impact.

Looking forward to finishing it tomorrow.

I just realized that Ares should have went for the head and I got this nagging feeling i?ve heard that before

And Zack would have beat IW to the punch.

1.5 million restorethesnyderverse tweets. The biggest trending count in Hollywood history, beating out Avengers Endgame. There’s only around a thousand Snyder fans though, right ironwetzy? :rotfl

On my second viewing now, such a bad *** movie. I like all the Easter eggs hidden throughout. I’m catching a few that I missed the first go round.

So what do you think of the new Steppenwolf, a-dev?

:D

Personally, I think he looks adorable with his little facial features and grumpy face. :lol

Snyder is in a pickle though because if WB now brings him back he already told everyone the ending to his JL2 and JL3 :slap

So now if he changes the story which he said he will are fans going to accept that now

I will admit that SW reminded me of this

Was weird introducing that. Like, we have to come up with some special item that will keep a human in a Batsuit from getting killed quickly by aliens lol. I would imagine Batman would be hiding in the shadows half the time, ambushing, doing recon and brain-storming tactics for the rest of the team.

Good job jye lol

You say that like the choice to change those scenes was strictly Whedon?s lol. It is pretty obvious that he had marching orders to change the tone completely and cut it down to two hours. I think there?s a reason he was happy to leave the directing credits to Snyder.

Is it possible Snyder was under similar orders and that's the real reason he walked? Remember he continued working on it for a while after his daughter's death.

And would it have turned out that much different if Snyder had stayed and toed the company line?

Great conversation about the recent Ann Sarnoff article and the future of the Snyderverse. Starts around the 10min mark, and really nails down why the article was so tonedeaf and baffling, because of its timing and passive aggressive tone, and how it was gaslighting the fandom. Also goes into why it makes sense to greenlight a sequel/spinoff, and how that might go. Very informative.

A remarkable and very accurate analysis of the situation and really pinpoints just how messed up WB is internally with their triple corporate structure like really really messed up BUT we all knew that already like duh lol

If WB keeps going in this direction Disney will end up owning DC lol
