I was never a fan of the DC Snyderverse, and it's still not the way I would have approached these stories. And given how poor Man of Steel and Batman V Superman were, coupled with the horrible, sloppy mess of the original release, I had very little interest going in here. But maybe the low expectations helped sway me, because I thought this was pretty good. Apart from Flash and Aquaman the characters felt relatable, the villain had some reasonable motivation, and I felt there was a logical, dramatic payoff at various points. Cyborg seemed handled much better.

Not sure how WB is going to make money off of this, and I'm still not the biggest fan of what Snyder was doing here, but this was pretty well done. It even got me to rewatch Batman V Superman afterward, though that movie still isn't very good in my opinion.

Affleck was really good as Batman. Kind of wish they stuck with him and just had different writers and directors instead of the new guy.

I saw that this wasn't truly his "cut" since they forced him to use Martian Manhunter instead of GL. Seems a shame to take that little bit away from him, but I hope he has found some fulfillment here.

As for WB, the one thing I speculated about them years back was that they were going to have higher highs and lower lows than Marvel, because there wasn't as much executive planning. So you can ping-pong from the Nolan Batman movies to Catwoman and Jonah Hex. The Suicide Squad looks like it could be one of the best comic movies ever, and Joker was really solid, while I couldn't even watch more than 15 minutes of Aquaman. With Marvel you are always getting something good, often very good, but rarely something great. In hindsight, with the JL theatrical cut they made a mistake by trying to thread a needle between Snyder's fairly bleak vision and Whedon's commercial success. Better if they would have just hired on a journeyman director to finish what Snyder started in his own voice.

Weren't the MM scenes filmed back in 2017 though? If so then I still consider this his "cut" of the assembled footage that he shot. I never expected that it meant that he literally won *every* creative battle. What director (even those with final cut) can ever truly make that claim? Even without studio interference there's inevitably limitations to a director's vision based on budget, technology, scheduling conflicts, weird on-set mishaps, etc.

I'll be honest, I'd rather have absolute gems like Joker and Zack Snyders Justice League than consistent good's.

I think that consistency for Marvel works exactly for Marvel. DC for me is more isolated stories like Kingdom Come, Year One, HUSH, and stuff like that. Contained stories. I don't think DC works with connectedness and a similar tone that Marvel has. I like getting some duds and then absolute gems.

Nah. Great production value and art design. Acclaimed and award winning actors;
Willem Dafoe, excellent Academy Ward nominated actor, one of the best of his generation who regularly works with greats like Scorsese, David Lynch, Oliver Stone, Sam Raimi.
Nicole Kidman is an Academy Award winning actress, considered to be one of the best working.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen just won last year?s Emmy Award and the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor.
James Wan is one of the most acclaimed and critically and commercially successful horror Filmmakers working today as a Director.
Highest grossing film of all time based on any DC character, even with all of those Batman movies over the years.
Fresh with the critics based on its Rotten Tomatoes score, critics aren?t everything but if you calling it garbage counts then them saying that it isn?t should too.
You can like what you like, but that?s not an objectively garbage movie just based upon its pedigree if nothing else.
