I liked it when I got it. I still like it now, weeks later. Actually I love it, this is a really fun figure. It's not perfect but it's definitely good enough that I have no desire to sell it; as a former DX09 owner I do see it as an upgrade, although realistically (as I've already said) they missed a few beats but it is what it is.
As for your question; I find when I point an iPhone at it, they chin tends to look more elongated and pronounced than it actually is. So take that for what it's worth, but it *does* look different to me in-hand.
Finally, the eyes go a very long way to making or breaking it, based on their position.
I'm not compensating for the fact that I bought it -- this is not a perfect figure and has some mistakes -- but I find it very enjoyable and evocative, and I see Keaton in the sculpt.
I could afford to get the DX09 again if I wanted to. I prefer this.

Spend the difference.
It used to be an exorbitant difference. Now it's just a few bucks with SS.
A normal figure is like $19 vs $23 if you double box.
That's FINE, and reasonable. If this was anything else you were spending $300 on, you'd want it boxed. Plus you know your art box won't get trashed when the paper thin shipper fails to take a hit.

I like your thinking. I just checked and it’s an extra $7 dollars to double box. That’s only 1.7% of the total cost of $408 for my order. It’s worth it as a peace of mind investment that my art box won’t get jacked up.

If any company ever makes a Keaton Batman again, I kinda hope they sculpt head and mask separately. I think that's the best way of capturing the imperfections the 89 mask had and adds some extra charm. Despite its many flaws, Neca's 89 figure always made me feel like there was a real person behind the mask so I hope someone tries that approach again

I hate this figure. So gd much. I knew I should have ignored this thread.
I'm trying my best not to get into 2.0 upgrades. Thankfully, there's still enough to love about the DX09 (especially with the cowl and texture of the suit) to make this figure and easy pass for me.

I agree that there's a lot wrong with this figure, but for my original the clear plastic inside the boots crumbled away and the pegs can't go in, and having no panel on the back of the head is nice, so I think I'll keep my order but I don't feel great about it lol. Knowing HT that clear plastic in probably still in the boots.

the issue here is how high the head sits and how thin the cape is. even dx09 kinda suffers from this issue with a drape cape, the head really needs to slit flush against the shoulders.
after some consideration, i think imma pass on 2.0 and just forfeit my $15 deposit, ill just go ahead and upgrade my dx09's head. i already modified the body so it'd be poseable. i need to back down on POs anyways, need to buy more custom figures
What sculpt? So far I’m not seeing it with unreals, it’s like vacuumed flush to his face. I like the DX09 sculpt better, also what body did you use?
I’m trying to decide if I want to Frankenstein both DX09 & MMS693 and then add JazzInc’s real suit into the mix when he gets to it.
