Agree it's a shame. Over the years I've enjoyed and marveled over ASMUS and even Sideshow (what little I have of theirs) attention to details (including Gandalf's pants
; the tiny armor scales on Thorin's armor and the etchings on 1/6 swords, and so on). Like I was thrilled InArt at least attempted to put the "leather embroidery" on Aragorn's outer coat in the form of a patch, at least.Just like I was unhappy with the overly large edging on the same coat and too short tunic. Weirdly the tunic doesn't seem to be quite right on the Queen 1/3 statue either tho maybe it's just bunched up.
Like even if you can't see it on display, it's nice to know it's there. But agree a lot of people will focus on the sculpt and more basic details. I suspect Legolas will also use inexpensive cloths, like Aragorn. Although the Patterson Bruce Wayne figure has a real nice coat with lining; go figure.

Yeah, I missed the boat on the Premium Jack Sparrow. Tho we can alwaysLegolas was my favorite growing up -- have always loved archers and still do -- so this one is a no-brainer for me! I just wish I hadn't been an idiot and missed the boat on Aragorn.
Makes me uneasy, like one of those companies that needs the money from POs etc. I'll put in a down payment but I wouldn't pay off until it's shipping, not even a payment plan. Tho I like having the deck cleared re payments.
Well that's a bummer. The only reason I would have wanted this is for the armored look. His regular outfit is too boring and simple for my taste, and I don't really care enough about the character otherwise.
I think they only have the license for Fellowship.
Probably but the downside is you need to buy an Asmus figure.

Looks like InArt listened and fixed the color of the jerkin... so that's good.
There's some details that people here nitpick that really, only their ego knows to nitpick.
Like 99.999% of people are not going to care nor notice...

Anyway who cares if someone wants to be a stickler for accuracy or not. People say if you don’t like it, don’t buy it. Well if you don’t like people discussing on this forum, don’t partake.

People who are stickler for accuracy are the same kind of people whose movie costumes are discussed 20 years later, end up in books, and are used in classrooms. I know this because I just picked up the inexpensive Padme red gown fig and there's entire commentaries on how those SW costumes were made.
People who aren't sticklers for detail end up with coffee cups on the sets of medieval dramas that become memes and are mocked by the entire Internet.
Season 8 does not count...that was just a horrible season....People who are stickler for accuracy are the same kind of people whose movie costumes are discussed 20 years later, end up in books, and are used in classrooms. Maybe it was supposed to be some sort of medieval secret weapon.....
I’d think people from the outside world would respect someone wanting to get something as accurate as possible to what’s on screen in an art sense,
than seeing an adult jump for joy when they
find out a toy company made their favorite character.
One has purpose, the other is looked
at as a grown up attempting to relive their childhood. The details are the only thing that separates collectibles from toys at your local Target.
The more realistic something is, the less weird you appear. Someone with realistic LOTR statues looks like less of a weirdo than someone that just watches anime and collects nothing.

Idk, but some of us like costume design and revel in the details. In another life, I’d have worked in either Concept Design or Costume Design and this is a facet of 1/6 figure-making that I personally love and brings me joy.

If past releases are any indication then this is going to be a Q2 2026 release, that would make it 18-20 months from October 2nd.

What a cool video, and shows part of why these movies stand after all this time. Lots of love and care on building everything on them.
