One thing I love about the new figure is that they made the eyes and repulsors white so that the suit will appear to be on even when the lights are not being used. They even provided a solid white arc reactor replacement but I feel like the implementation leaves mixed results. It works better for photography purposes than for everyday display. I just find it too flat and bland. A better implementation would have been to place something white and reflective behind the clear arc so that you keep the detail but also get the white effect. So that's what I did with white reflective tape. I think it looks much better this way.

When the light catches it, it really does appear to be on. So glad that I can achieve this look without removing panels and flipping switches!

Great pics ! And a good tip about the reactor will give it a go on mine :)

Thanks for all the pics Royce....does the figure stand solidly without the base? At least moreso than the 1/6th version, I hope. The only figure that I have that I trust sans stand is AOU Hulk ... If this is as sturdy that would be amazing since that base is so raised.

Stands great without the base. I can't use the base because it's too tall. The ankles pivot and hold well so that you can keep both feet flat. I have no concerns about him falling.

I thought the 1/4 scale XLIII only came with forearm rocket launchers???

Yeah it's not often that you pay your money and get more than you bargained for.

So the production model actually came with both forearm and shoulder rockets? Now that is cool!!!!

Yep.. Two different types of forearm rockets and shoulder rockets. Hot Toys delivered big time with this figure.

Would have been interesting to see if that had gone the route where it looks like there are multiple lights in the eyes but I prefer it to be just one solid light.

I can't wait for this thing to show up...can anyone advise measurement standing up straight and on base?? Not that I would pose him this way, just trying to find a spot on my built ins adequate for this beast!!

20" is a good estimate. Mine is not standing all the way straight up. The spot where he stands on the base raises him another 3.5"

Nice job! Gotta say I like him standing in front of the base. More museumlike but still cool, and you can still display the base.

I think it works great. I've enjoyed moving the arm and head around for more posing variety.

Not sure if this has been answered before but can someone who has this figure please let me know the area of the base. Trying to figure out display options before this bad boy finally arrives
