Still no height confirmation? 1/4 scale is truth.
You can make out the height with the size comparisons.

Thanks man.

The 43 1/6 is a superbly done figure. It's just a smaller scale so to the eye it's going to look more toy like. But the dimensions, when scaled up, will be nearly identical (I'm sure) to the 1/4...as they scale up nearly exactly to the 1/1 suits.

That's not to take anything away from this 1/4. It's stunning. The HS is by far the best RDJ. I love all the neat little extras they added to this one. But that's becuase of the scale. It gives more room. They could do more without the massive hassle...like the lights in the legs/calves.

You guys are delusional if you think that hot toys is making absolute precise measurments to make these "toys" proportionally accurate in terms of scale differential.

You give HT way too much credit if you really think they are making these toys with a scientific formula or analysis.

If you scale the 1/6 up to the 1/4 i guarantee it wont match and likewise for the 1/4 to 1/1.

Why would they not? Each release or prototypes have to go through Disney for approval first before they are allowed to show it to the public.

Looks amazing but I'm still on the fence. Hopefully the price can drop 50 or so dollars. Just got the 3A bumble Bee for 379 and it's hard to justify this figure for almost 200 more when the bumble bee looks much more impressive.

No I'm just comparing details, complexity, and size. Not saying this QS005 isn't awesome(because it is fantastic!)..but I just felt that I got more for my money with 3A products.

I would jump on the bandwagon instantly if this was diecast(or 40% diecast).

Not that I'm defending HT's pricing as I would surely want to have this wonderful IM figure for $200 but --

a. It's Marvel. It's Iron Man. It's Robert Downey Jr (and his best sculpted likeness to date) and it's Hot Toys, like it or not it's like the Apple of articulated figures as far as brand prestige is concerned
b. I've seen both 3A's Bee final product and the prototype of QS005 though in different occasions, but QS005's over-all built just wowed me while Iwas just okay with Bee. Your mileage of course may vary :)

Anyway, I can't wait to have this in hand, but I would mind a little delay in arrival at our LCS so I could save up! :D

It's amazing how by just looking at the numbers on the specs, 1/4 vs 1/6 is only at least 6" taller, but in hand and side-by-side we'd realize that the girth and mass can make 1/4 seem like twice the size. I just saw the prototype of Prime 1's 1/3 scale Arkham Knight Batman next to a SSC 1/4 scale PF and I was also surprised that in person the difference is HUGE.

SO GLAD to see that the eyes are white instead of black when turned off! Yes!!! That has always been my pet peeve with Iron Man figures and I would have to put white reflective tape behind the eyes. 95% of the time I do not use light features so with the eyes being white and being able to plug the white piece over the arc reactor the figure will look 'powered on' even with the lights off. Great job Hot Toys!! They really delivered with this one!

I too, consider that a welcome change. The figure would look more alive even with the light features off. HT's 1/6 Ultron can also use that look. I've seen the proto and with the eyes turned off Ultron looks dead.

Just saw the review. This is a superb figure, last time I felt this excited for HT was when their 1/4 Batman was finally released. If only HT added a 3rd sculpt -- a helmeted head with magnetized faceplate to reveal Tony's face -- but as is this is a fantastic release.

Yes that is the glaring omission from this piece! But I'm not complaining.. Well not too much. You know that HT is definitely going to use this head sculpt again. The next time we see it I'm sure that it will be helmeted.
