oh wait sideshows are statues :(

Yep. At least I've never seen a Sideshow PF that could be posed. I've pre-ordered all of the Super Alloy iron men so far but should get the 1/6 Iron Man Mark 7 and the Hall of armor piece first. If those aren't awesome, I'll cancel the others.

I posted a separate thread but may as well ask here - Does anyone know what the differences are between the PI and HT versions of the Hall of Armor? As far as I can tell, the PI version should be way more cool.

then you'll definitely cancel all the orders:lol. I still prefer HT mark 7 than PI. then again I think their 1/4 scale will be awesome

If you haven't seen their protos yet, their human head sculpt doesn't have that flesh texture. It's closer to statues/neca than Hot Toys. Just a word of warning. The likeness is definitely there. Just not the realism of textured skin.

PI's is diecast and it has different lighting modes with remote

IM3 is overly milked- how many companies are doing figures or statues in how many scales????

This is a 6 page gallery of photos from Comikaze last month in LA. This link will take you to page 3, there are a lot of photos of the PI figures starting toward the bottom of this page and continuing through the next pages. Starts with the big figures and then moves to the smaller ones.

Yeah, those would be my pictures from Comikaze. The folks at Yes Anime allowed me to handle production samples of the 1/12 War Machine Mark 2 and Iron Patriot.

Personally, I'm looking forward to their line of product and can understand their need to delay product release to make improvements. I should note that I have no official relations with either YA or PI. Like the rest of you, I'm just an interested collector.

Chuey, thanks for the pics! How did the little guys feel? Good, or like they still need some work? I get that delays give PI a little more time to improve on things, but the pace at which they keep announcing things and not shipping anything is troubling. I would hate to see them having gotten way too far over their heads and unable to deliver on what they've announced. I really want the 6" guys to be good enough for them to do some of the suits that nobody else has made.

Personally, both the 1/12 War Machine Mark 2 and the Iron Patriot had nice heft. I should note that the remaining 1/12 and all the 1/4 scale figures were plastic prototypes that didn't have the articulation or weight of a finalized production piece. I own a few 1/12 Iron Man figures including Hasbro's Marvel Legends, Revoltech and Diamond Select. These PI figures felt very solid in terms of weight. I was allowed to move joints and they felt tight along with having range of motion just as demonstrated in PI's articulation demo YouTube video - [ame]https://youtu.be/p8kHRnRzQTs[/ame].

With regard to delays, I chalk it up to a company trying to push the boundaries of the license they were awarded by Marvel/Disney. Like any business, they need to sell product to cover their license fees, their own production and to make a profit as a business. While the PI 1/6 Mark 7 and a small portion of the 1/12 War Machines along with Iron Patriot figures have been released, I imagine that they're examining their production to hopefully look at improvements to better meet their customer's expectations.

I think they are trying to listen to their customers. As PI posted on their own FB page, if customers have issues they want people to contact them. When I wrote on their FB page asking about handling any questions through any of their US distributors, PI actually quickly responded to say they will also work with those channels to make it right.

The Yes Anime contact at Comikaze indicted that they would do their best to work with customers. They even wanted my feedback once I handled the figures. I mentioned that while LED round stand and the painted backgrounds look nice, I added that I would love to have armory diorama components like PI's Mark 7 so I could replicate a Hall of Armor or Project Wine Cellar.

On whether PI can deliver on that much Iron Man product, I would like to hope so. Given how they also got licenses from Warner Bros. to make DC superheroes and Pacific Rim figures along with Sony/MGM to do Robocop, it is in their best interest to turn out quality product in a timely fashion.
