Chuey did you get any indication of how well or how poorly PI's 1/6 Mark VII release did? There were a few collectors here who posted they got them but not many.

I remember reading there are problems with their Mk7 1/6.

I hope they improve on that and give those of us who missed out on the Midas a chance to own one.

I think PI's 1/6 'Gold Mk VII Avengers' *cough*Midas*cough* diecast figure has also been available at retail?.. this review compares the PI and HT figures at 03.25 -

I don't know and I didn't ask about about PI's 1/6 Mark 7 or Midas. Whether the SDCC and Comikaze, I didn't see any physical displays or literature that Yes Anime even carried it, even though they advertised on Facebook.

Like some of you, I own 1/6 HT Iron Man figures. Since PI has only done one figure in that scale and I already own a bunch of HT in 1/6, I plan to stick with HT for 1/6.

Yes Anime has indicated that they should be at the 2014 WonderCon Anaheim. I can ask about their 1/6 sales. Just remember, any vendor will be understandably guarded about their sales information.

Mark 42 was already postponed to May/June 2014 back in September when emails were sent out to customers who pre-ordered them. They had an option for customers who does not want to wait and opt for a full refund instead.

So now it seems that I have made a right decision to cancel my PO and get a full refund.

Whoa! I didn't know that PI already have their er..., Midas out. I don't keep track of PI stuff because I am not going into the 1/4.

Anyway, thanks for linking up the video! HT details are still better after seeing the video..., the gold on PI is horrible. Nothing a little airbrush work can't do. I will call them and ask.

Thanks Taibhse!

No worries :hi5:

If any UK collectors are interested in PI's Super Alloy 1/6 Gold Mk VII, approach the current eBay 'UK' seller with caution.. I checked the details and the address listed in London (145-157, St. John Street) is a corporate mailing address (like a PO box) service, also the 'economy' delivery cost within the UK is very high (and very slow for the high cost).. imho, 99% probability the seller is actually in the Far East.

Dear Customer,

RE: Pre-order Delay

We regret to inform you that the release date of the following products has
been changed:

1/4 Scale Mark XLII - Nov/Dec 2014

After reviewing the current batch of prototypes, we found that they were
not to our standards, and so the decision was made to spend more time on
improving the build quality of these figurines. Unfortunately this has
increased the build time of the products, and hence led up to this delay in
production.

We seek your kind understanding in this situation, rest assured that we are
trying our best to solve this issue and prevent such delays from happening
in the future.

Once again, we sincerely apologise for the disappointment and inconvenience
caused. For further enquiries or feedback, please email
[email protected].

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Play Imaginative

This really justifies the reason of the cancellation of my PO and getting back my refund.

They should just stuck with releasing Mark 42 first to test the market before releasing the others for PO. Now they have sort of shot themselves in the foot for delaying again and again.
