Just curious.. Do any of you guys get nervous about putting the diecast figures on one of the detolf shelves?

For the longest time I've kept my diecast figures on the bottom, the top, or on my coffee table. I just feel uneasy about displaying any of them on those shelves.

And this one looks scarier than most lol.

Absolutely. I only have one diecast figure so far (Robocop, but WM and MK46 are on preorder), and I have never placed him on the glass shelf. I've read on line that the shelves are design to support 12 pounds, so in theory Robo (and any other die cast figure) should be fine as long as the shelf isn't loaded with other stuff... But all the same, I've never had the balls to do it.

I bought a Legends Studios case just for Robocop, for that reason.

I've seen pictures of collectors who have really loaded up their detolfs, but I've also heard horror stories about collections being destroyed when the things are overloaded or some other accident occurs (in particular, I've seen people who put premium format figures or other large statues on their detolfs, and unsurprisingly this ended in disaster).

I'd assume the shelf can easily handle the weight of a few static diecast figures on it, the issue would be if one of those figures happened to tip over. I just imagine a diecast figure on a flight stand coming loose followed by glass shelves imploding lol.

Right now I have mk 42 and patriot on the bottom of one of them and the 45 and war machine mk 2 on the bottom of the other.

On the top glass shelf I have hot rod, tank, and bones. I have hot rod standing on the edge where the glass is supported, that makes me feel a little better. I think I might try out having two on one shelf by themselves. But it still scares me. I think I may have to pick up a scale.

I guess one could replace the glass shelves with something a bit less nerve wracking.

Anyways, I wonder how much longer it'll be until sideshow gets this thing, I'd guess late this month, early next.

I really hate that we have to wait so long for the 6 and 46.. And I still hope they update the 46 and give him all of his on screen accessories.

If anyone was concerned about having multiple die-cast on the same shelf. I had AOU War Machine AND Whiplash MK2 on the same shelf for about six months with no worries. The glass is designed to hold much more weight than that.

My whole idea was to have my 3 incoming diecast iron man figures on my top Detolf shelf;
Iron Man MK 43
War machine MK1
War Machine MK3

I may have to rethink that [emoji854]

I am not surprised this has been waitlisted. I think this is one of HT finest figures.

In fairness, Whiplash MkII barely had die-cast parts in it so it wasnt as heavy as a MkXLIII for example.

Hahahaha!! An un-truthiness. Whiplash Mk 2 weighs about twice as much as the 43 and has tons of diecast parts. :lecture
Really? I had both and the 43 felt heavier than the Whiplash. If you have numbers, then no doubting that.

According to Budget Stark the MK42/43 weighs 1.86 Pounds, Whiplash MKII weighs 2.63 pounds and this is 2.91 pounds.
Gotcha. Thanks! Can't wait for this figure. Looks like HT went all out on it. Most likely will sell out.

Thanks! I have a $20 coupon and couldn't decide if I wanted to use it on this or the Mk46. Even with the coupon code, BBTS will come out cheaper once you account for SS shipping and sales tax. But reward points are nice to make future purchases seem cheaper which is the only reason I usually go with SS as opposed to BBTS. Flawed logic I know lol.

I wish I can do most of my purchases from SS but the tax kills me..
