You people are a bad influence. Viewing all the great pics of Obi, I got sucked into buying him. Initially, I thought I'd just purchase the SW Premium Format statues and a couple of the 12" figures from the OT but I keep finding myself ordering more and more, i.e., Darth Maul, Qui Gon Jinn, Anakin, Sith Anakin and now Obi. Poor Han was alone in his box until Batman5 was kind enough to sell me his Jedi Luke a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks, guys, for sucking me into the world of 12" figures!

It's a slippery slope my friend! I wasn't really into the 12" line either, but people on this board converted me!

I use Citadel paints and the matte spray and they do great. Fast drying and very safe. I bought a ton of paints when I was painting the games workshop LOTR figures. They are very expensive though.

I use Citadel paints and the matte spray and they do great. Fast drying and very safe. I bought a ton of paints when I was painting the games workshop LOTR figures. They are very expensive though.

You don't find Citadel a bit thick? Or do you thin it somehow?

Yes Citadels are usually thick except for the inks. I always thin it and apply several coats. I can't stand thick paint.

Thanks! And also... very special thanks to Pickard for posting that comparison. I've always been too lazy to do that. It's good to know that it's well liked and it's funny how much I've got this repaint down. I can mix the paint in about 20 seconds now... I did both his and Khev's in one sitting.. Pretty fun work!

Josh performed his now famous Obi-Wan custom plus lightened my Anakin's hair, fixed the lips, and enhanced his scars. Awesome! More shots:

could someone measure obi-wans head from top to bottom and tell me the exact measurements of it?
I want to see how big the head is in scale with the other 1/6 heads.

Nicely done, Josh, happy for you Khev.

I guess I was the very first to take the plunge and have Josh do an Obi repaint, and he did an amazing job. As most of you know I had him add lighter tones and reddish blonde highlights in the beard and I couldn't be happier either. Rock on freak brothers!
