How about releasing the damn 66 batmobile hot Toys once and for all. 66 would sell way better than bvs batmobile. More people like me have an emotional attachment to it and would be an instant hit. Why can't they just for once finally come out and confirm if will it come out or NOT? 66 is THE batmobile imo. Would be a real shame if the first batmobile that started it all never sees the light of day.

I agree that they should release it, but I'm not sure if it'd sell better. People put far too much stock on nostalgia these days. And from what I've seen, it's not like the 66 Batman/Robin figs sold like hot-cakes. As it stands, the 66 Batmobile will have only the nostalgia factor going for it. Meanwhile, the BvS one has the cool factor, the hype surrounding the first ever movie where Superman and Batman will meet, plus, it's going to be THE Batmobile for as long as the DCEU runs, which will be a fairly long time. Just my 0.02$...

Or that we never got the Joker..

That as well. Arkham Joker is my favourite Joker design in all of fiction, so I'm more than a little irked than it never became a reality. Has it been confirmed that it has been cancelled though? Arkham City Batman took 3 year, but he was eventually made. Maybe something similar will happen with Joker...

The 66 Batman series figures were slow sellers. That is most likely the main reason the 66 Batmobile has not been released yet. Maybe if enough of you vocal supporters on the 66 Batmobile had bought enough of the figures to make the series a success you would have had your batmobile already.

Don't think they'll ever release the batmobile 66. Far too much time has passed from when they produced the prototype until now.

Alot of people held off on buying batman and Robin because the 66 was not announced or available for preorder. If they released all 3 at the same time, sales would have been better. Plus no villians hurt sales. So, hot Toys really have themselves to blame for poor sales.

Well keep refusing to accept the fact that if people held off on buying the figures waiting for the Batmobile they totally screwed themselves. Now if that is what people actually did then they need to stop their crying.

Doubt that. Hot Toys have never released 2 figs and a vehicle at the same time. At most it's been two figures. I was never interested in the 66batmobile. It sucks that those who were anticipating it may never get it now, but the fact that Batman and Robin are still available at many retailers is pretty telling. I'm actually surprised at a number of Marvel figs still available as well.

The truth is that I think more people might be interested in the car than the figures. The Barris Batmobile has a cult following that kind of transcends the show, even. There are people who collect every version of that car, in every scale, and I think it'd be a mistake not to capitalize on that, when you can also appeal to the 1/6th collectors who bought the figures.

if its any consolation you can still get the 1/18 scale 66 hot wheels batmobile on ebay.

Most impressive piece ever done by HT(As far as hardware). Just epic. Hope in the film it performs as bad a** as it looks!

Eh, I don't buy it. The market for 66 stuff just isn't as big as WB thought it'd be. There's nothing else to this story. By that logic, Spider-Man 3 figures shouldn't have sold because they didn't make a Venom.

That's your opinion and we can agree to disagree. There are alot of fans of the show, and they are making a new animated movie with ward and west. There are alot of collectors my age in there 40's and older who love the show and will buy the batmobile. Most companies I am sure over estimate sales and demand. It's not like any 1/6 line is not sitting on shelves for the most part. Figures are slower to sell out, and eventually are discounted. Too much being released and announced. Look at all the new order troopers announced and up for order. So argument can be applicable to other lines as well.
