Why are you so defensive?

Just scary creepy stuff that feeds on people's fear of **** without the act actually occurring literally. That's my take on it anyway.

I'm not, I hope you're kidding. P. jabbed at me, so I jabbed back.

I agree with that second bit as I have been saying all along. To me, the **** is suggestive. Maybe you guys aren't reading my posts.

The weight of the filmic evidence that precedes Lambert's death (literal, symbolic, whatever) clearly implies a reading in that direction, and I've yet to read a convincing argument based upon the film only (not an early script draft, or Alan Dean Foster's novelisation, for example) that would definitively suggest otherwise (including your prior remarks).

I like the way you speak, but I disagree. I can see it a different way. I do not believe there is a definitive way to look at it, which is what all of your articles that you refer to say.

you're manipulating events to show me as evil and yourself as an angel, while i discussed a movie and what its crew said and intended - and you started mocking me like i made it all up.
if you have terrible memory, reread everything. if you're simply an old fart, ok.

You say this and you wonder why you get the responses you get.

best described here. in all time i made searching for additional notes i found nothing more and nothing less. as for me, i agree with the bold text, which still leaves a question of clothes, which could mean only one - the alien not just killed Lambert but explored her body. before or after he death - unknown. if before, it's even worse.

I agree with you here; there's nothing that says one way or the other. I see it another way. I've tried to explain why -- since you're all basing your assumption on fuzzy articles and internet discussions. The fact is, there's one shot in the film that suggests what may or may not be Lambert's final resting place. I see it differently. I get it -- you disagree.

I've talk to a lot of people over many years about Alien, and the **** suggestions/imagery/symbolism is there, no doubt, I've said that from the beginning.

Isolation authors are same young boys, as, while ignoring Lambert's naked lower half, they put blood only in two places: between the legs and on a mouth area.

not that it proves anything, it just shows how stupid are the people who took this idea from what was shown in the movie and commented after it, with Wor-Gar being the only sentient being to ignore it.

I did mention this video game bit before, and I'm glad you brought it up because this Isolation bit actually does help my point -- incorrect Lambert in clothes made bloody after **** in video game made for young boys.

Even this apparently has a disclaimer in the game by the makers that states its an "alternate" take -- meaning a different way to look at the scene from the movie. All it proves is that a lot of young boys liked the idea of **** by alien and it took hold.

That's another guessing game!

Sideshow says: October to November.

ForbiddenPlanet.com (UK) says: The suppliers have confirmed a current ship date to all retailers as 30 October 2017.

ForbiddenPlanet.co.uk says: Stock on the way soon.

CollectiblesDirect.co.uk (where I paid in full May last year) says: Est 11/2017.

The honest answer is she'll get there when she gets there, depending on transport, typhoons, hurricanes and plagues of frogs.

Any guestimates for US distros and retailers, i.e: BBTS, Timewalker, etc.?

No I wasn't kidding, to me you seemed like you were getting genuinely annoyed. :lol Which confused me because I don't really care how Lambert died and whatever my interpretation of it is is hardly a battlefield worth dying on. It sounds like you and I agree anyway that it would be out of character and just odd for the sake of being odd for the alien to disrobe her (right down to her socks and shoes) so that it could quickly **** her when that's not how adult xenomorphs reproduce anyway.

To me she was trying to fight it off and the thing got a hold of her ankles and tore her lower clothes off in the process. I don't even like the idea of her not having any pants on at all. Since the shot is just a close-up of her foot I think it plays better if that's the only part of her that is "naked." The scene becomes borderline silly otherwise (IMO of course.)

:duff

The adult xenomorph is a killing machine that stabs people in "****-y" ways, but isn't actually a literal rapist himself. To me that would make him less of a pure and "perfect" organism if he can so easily get sidetracked by getting his jollies off against women that way.

Soooo, back to HT Ripley? There's a movie section on this forum if you want to continue this there.

Yes, totally. That's all I was saying. I think Kuat and the other guys were saying the same thing but had different takes on what that meant. P. I think was just mad at me and trying to prove my interpretation wrong.

Originally I did start by saying I thought that foot was Parker's not Lambert's (the one dangling in the single shot with Parker in the background). When I first saw the movie, I never considered it to be Lambert's. I am aware of the behind the scenes stuff, but I was never certain what Ridley's intent was for that shot being placed as it was. Did he intend it to be Lambert's foot, or after wrestling with so many choices in the editing room, did he simply default to "I don't care what they think now, Parker and Lambert are dead and Ripley's alone". I don't know, I've never heard Ridley's take on that shot and what its supposed to indicate as cut in the movie. I've heard interpretations, and I've posed one of my own. Somehow, we ended up on whether the alien ***** Lambert or not. I think I made a snarky comment and it was all downhill from there.

Sorry to derail this thing, wasn't my intent. Just want to clear the air.

At some point all internet forum discussions involving Alien wind up with boys going "IT **** LAMBERT" for about several pages. It's kind of a Godwin's law for Alien-based waffling. I'm more amazed it took so long to occur ;)

That ***king cat sculpt tho.

I'm gonna play the waiting game for my second one, maybe see if Sideshow will drop the price or other vendors such as BBTS after the initial pre-orders ship out. Maybe dealers will see the lull and want to move the stock?

I'm amazed no one has yet said that Cameron took all that and shat on it with Aliens. And before anyone does

That's a new one on me, literally never heard that view. Alien & Aliens are two different genres of films, which is a) why it works, and b) why there are only two Alien movies, and they're both excellent. Can't think I've ever heard "Cameron ruined it" criticisms, largely because he did offer a different take on it, which largely sidesteps comparisons.

I don't wanna hear it....

I agree, I never thought that Cameron served up a Canadian bacon **** sandwich by turning the xeno into space bugs, as has been a complaint amongst those who do take offense with the second film...

Anyway, at this stage in the shambling carcass of repeat disappointment that is the "franchise", I'm just hoping they skip to making Carry On Alien, and get it all over with.

And at least that might be decent by accident.
