Ok, just something I noticed about reactions to female characters. People call Leia and the new black widow perfect representations - basically because they look prettier than they do in real life. Also this thing about the photoshopped Ripley - you want her prettier than she actually is... Sorry, that's not reality that's fantasy.

I don't agree with you. Leia is not pretty in real life and she is not pretty in figure version. But HT nailed her.

Sigourney is not a very beautiful woman, but she doesn't look like a troglodyte as HT version...

Sincerely, we know that HT could make her better. It's all.

Now, I want to see new pictures. END OF TRANSMISSION.

I know what you did. That's why I wrote 99% of the time. This is a promo shoot not an actual movie still. Ripley tightens her lips (and eyes) when under pressure, on this photo she makes them bigger and trying to look pretty. That's not 'Ripley' to me - that's a Weaver promo shot.

Siguorney Weaver is an average looking woman giving her a good 7 out of 10. What makes her unique are those brown eyes and her 5'11" height. Also she was made for that role of Ripley.

You know I never really noticed her much until I saw that movie then I looked at her in a entirely different way. Well, when she was getting ready for cryo-sleep in the Narcissus I noticed her then too - lol.

Here's an idea, howbout everybody stop objectifying and rating these women. It's pretty pathetic. As for the figure, if you don't like it, well then don't buy it. Just cause hot toys didn't nail the likeness doesn't mean they owe it to you to make it exact to your standards. And if you're upset about it not being perfect and resort to rating/saying they aren't pretty to begin with than you don't even deserve to have the damn thing. Ya'll quit with this negative crap.

Plain and simple, just cause you waited forever like everybody else here, doesn't mean hot toys owes you anything. It doesn't matter either if you've spent so much money on their products cause you bought into it and that's your choice. They didn't force anybody to buy their stuff so they sure as hell don't need buy into your demands.

That being said, sigourney weaver is a beautiful person. Visually and from what I've seen/ heard (I don't know her personally) is a standup individual for what she does on the day to day. Perfect example of a woman imo

I apologize for the long essay as a first post. But ive been a long time lurker here and I come here to enjoy the collecting as much everybody else. I just hate to see people spew garbage and bring it to a low level. It should stay a positive escape from the mundane ********

Now I think both sides should relax! Only one person said she looks ordinary. What I said was that Hot Toys and all other companies tend to make the female characters more 'pretty' and idealized. If you don't agree with that then I don't know what to say... I don't want an idealized promo shot of Ripley, that doesn't mean I think she's ordinary.

Btw it's totally irrelevant to the figure if you find her attractive or not.
