Excited about the possibility of a Sand Trooper in the pipeline.....otherwise don't feel the need to purchase. Oddly enough, I am curious if the price will be $199 (same as single storm trooper) or whether it'll have price hike.

I'll be picking it up since I never got the SS version. Just hope it comes in at $199 or so. HT is going to feast on this license and eventually they will be producing clone armor variants just like every other company.

Damn, I need more Star Wars Hot Toy monies... anyone want to buy a partially used middle aged woman? she can cook and clean with not much back talk... Also have a 10 year old boy, small fingers means good at small detailed tasks (he can make a keen pair of sneakers).

Hot Toys is just getting into producing Star Wars and they're already going to EU? I think a better exclusive would have been Governor Tarkin, Wedge Antilles or something like that... but of course that would be more work for them too, so probably it's easier to knock out a Trooper. They may end up giving Sideshow a run for their money if HT starts knocking out Trooper variations the way Sideshow has been (and the way HT has been knocking out Iron Men).

I enjoy many EU characters and have always loved the Shadow trooper. Kenner even had a prototype figure to match the Marvel comics. I am down for this one.

Yeah this is an easy pass! The line is not fleshed out enough already for me to be being rehashes! Is the stormtrooper the equivalent to the new iron man? haha

I think these made their first appearance in a serial comic published in newspapers after the initial release of ANH...anyway, easy pass but I think it's a no-brainer that we definitely have to contend with HT sandtroopers at some point, maybe sooner than later.

To do a sandtrooper correctly they'll need to switch out some armour bits but also produce proper stunt helmets with higher brows for the screen accurate look...(I know some sandies had lower brows but y'all know what I mean).

I have zero desire to be a completist in this or any other line, but I'm reeallly curious to see if they address accuracy issues with some of their figures. That'd make it harder to decide.

Look at the time...maybe I'll do some work. :idea

Wasn't EU off limits for licencees per Disney rule? I thought they had to focus their production on movies (preferably OT) and TCW.

No interest but I agree it implies that they're working on a Sandie.

Looks good though, and I have no problems with HT doing variants. I agree it's the perfect show exclusive. If it would have been a real Sandie then people would complain that such an important variant was hard to get.

I've been seeing these guys pop up a lot in collecting lately though... Hasbro's black series exclusive set, lego has a shadow trooper set coming out in 2015... Maybe these guys will be in TFA... Who knows...

I just want to know how those of us in the states are going to get this guy.

That's literally what I was just thinking. First non-film/TCW/Rebels character under the Disney umbrella. I thought that was a no no.

Toy $$$ > integrity

Can't interrupt dat cash flow.
