They can't win with exclusives. Either it's a popular and/or unique character and people are pissed because those shouldn't be exclusives they have a harder time getting and often end up paying more for, or it's a less popular character/re-use of a mold and people are pissed because that they are milking it and it's a lame exclusive.

No interest but I agree it implies that they're working on a Sandie.

Looks good though, and I have no problems with HT doing variants. I agree it's the perfect show exclusive. If it would have been a real Sandie then people would complain that such an important variant was hard to get.

I'd agree it's a good exclusive but these toy fair exclusives are not "tough to get" at all. I've watched the pre-orders for all the IM variants go up and could've ordered any of them easily from Sideshow. Personally I'd have loved something more unique, like Tarken. It'd actually be nice in a way if something coveted did go up with a small run for once (not that these toy fair exclusives are small runs anymore...).

I've been seeing these guys pop up a lot in collecting lately though... Hasbro's black series exclusive set, lego has a shadow trooper set coming out in 2015... Maybe these guys will be in TFA... Who knows...

I just want to know how those of us in the states are going to get this guy.

We won't be seeing them in TFA. The stormtrooper armour is completely different. Maybe in a spin off????

Fair point, I'm just saying that there's gotta be a reason as to why the only expanded universe collectables coming out since the Disney purchase and black stormtroopers....

Nah, no negativity. I think it's just initial surprise that HT went EU so quickly with the license. After what we'd heard about the Disney mandate (canon characters only), I certainly wasn't expecting a Shadow Trooper. Anyway, I'd concede it is about a perfect exclusive in that it's a 'must have' for only a subset of SW collectors. Also it's neat as a preview for Sandtroopers.

I like it and will get it. Already have the SSSST, but HT looks different with no BD and glossy armor.

Even though I have zero interest in a BHS, I will say it looks very well done.

So, in summary:
1) no interest
2) right on time with reuse
3) looks like a well made figure.

CHEAP??? If hot toys overblown pricing hasn't hit you yet this baby's going to cost 250-280 just because it had the ex sticker attached to its box. This is the new age for hot toys, everything starts at 250 or more. Easy pass due to pricing

I have to say I agree! I hope the line is a success so we'll see all the characters we've all wanted!

HT only milks the same thing over and over though. There will be no Amanaman, or Ponda Baba, or Tarkin, or Lobot, or anything else.

There will only be Blacktrooper, redtrooper, sandtrooper, snowtrooper, pinktrooper, bluetrooper, black-and-whitetrooper, silvertrooper.... these are HT's "clonetroopers". Has Iron Man and Joker taught you nothing?

And just wait until they get to the clones in two years.

I like the Exclusive. I have a white Stormtrooper suit and a black Shadow Trooper suit I wear in the 501st. I prefer the black when I'm trooping so this is a must have for me.
