This is gonna be the crown jewel of my hot toys collection outside of my Hulkbuster 1.0

Having 99% of the HT IM figures, I’d probably have to agree with this! At first I tried to fool myself that the Diecasts weren’t inherently superior but by the time my Mk. V & VI came in, I couldn’t deny the greatness. Actually, even before those, the Mk. 45 was actually my favorite HT IM (excluding all WM-really love them all) with a couple plastic ones thrown in my top 5 for sentimental reasons (like the OG Mk. VI & Shotgun). Now my top five are shaping up to look like this if the Mk. 50 comes out great:

Mk. 50
Mk. 44 Hulkbuster
Mk. 47
Mk. 6
Mk. 45

What’s everyone’s else’s top 3-5?

Mine is

Hulkbuster
MK 50
MKVII
Mk XLVI
Mk XXXIII Silver Centurion (mostly cause My favorite comic book run for IM)

The 40, that’s shotgun right? Good choice. I like that figure. Looks mean on a shelf

Can only grade the pieces I have..

Quarter Scale Mark 43 is the best piece in my entire collection, but it's not a fair comparison really..

Mark 6 die-cast takes top spot of my sixth scales, then
Mark 43, and then
Mark 3 die-cast

It almost seems like (with the exception of the new die-cast Mark 2) each time a new figure comes out, or at least each six month period a new figure or two come out, they get better..

I expect the Infinity figure to at least look better than the 3 and the 43 on my shelves.

The more I see this, the more I like the contrast to my III, VI and 43.... price and all...

If you end up getting the 50 you’ll have a damn solid collection. I can’t really think of a better group of 4 suits to represent every era of Iron Man design evolution.

I agree. Was one of the final deciding factors that pushed me to order him. In an ideal world I'd add the Mark 45 to my Avenger lineup (as it's mainly Age of Ultron) and keep the Iron Man group entirely sixth scale, by including the Mark 43 sixth scale with these guys instead of with Captain America and co, and display the quarter scale by itself. I think the 43 contrasts better to the 50 than the 45, so would look good there. (The 45 is probably closer to the 50 than the 46 or 47)…

On the other hand, my Avenger group display is all heads and faces, so sticking with that theme the Mark 45 wouldn't work... Actually Mark 46 with the black eye sculpt would probably look really good with my Avengers, if I can get past the nitpick that he's Civil War and not Age of Ultron.. :lol

Ah, mindless waffle, doesn't matter as I'm pushing the budget ordering the 50, and I don't think you can find 46 anywhere now retail, let alone the 45... My goal is to one day organise a better display than I currently have with the quarter scale 43 accompanied by the others (except the sixth scale 43 with the Avengers). Then I'll have

Iron Man 1
Avengers
Avengers: Age of Ultron
Avengers: Infinity War

And the only one I'm likely to ever need after that is Avengers 4... Mark VII is really tempting when it's inevitably announced, but I've managed to stop myself ordering all the original suits die-cast, so I don't really think he would work with my display..

Special set aye?... what could we be getting..

It’s probably going to be add on pieces for the suit since he was bare bones on the p.o and his suit took so many different forms in weapons.

The next step in the evolution of the 1/6 scale market: Figure and accessories sold separately:lol

The only way I see that being "great news to the fans who has committed to the magnificent Avengers: Infinity War 1/6th scale Iron Man collectible figure" is if these things come included with the figure, I won't hold my breath but I guess we'll see soon enough.
