The 4 and 6 are the same figure. Different paint and chest plate but that’s it.

Ironpatriot pointed out that there might be a slight height difference according to the dimension description. The difference is 0.2 inches or so which explains perhaps why I am seeing a height difference in the video.

I’m not sure how accurate the sideshow dimensions always are, but the MK4 is listed as 12.59”, and the MK6 12.83”

Or whats more likely is that the mk 6's height was based on HT's initial prototype, or the figure with the ankles extended... and the mk 4 is the more accurate height determined once the mk 6 released...

but no, you guys are probably right, HT's invested thousand of dollars into two separate molds to make sure the mk 4 and 6 had a .24 difference, just to make Singguy look like an *****

On another note, heres what HT's should have given us

In the sideshow pictures the MK4 and the MK6 have different looking legs and feet to me tho , and the waist looks different or possibly extended as well on the mk4.

Really this is all speculation until people have both in hand. But I do notice slight differences that point to more then just a chest swap and paint job. But I’m no expert.

Holy sheet. They are the same, exactly the same except for the chest plate and arc reactor. There is no conspiracy guys. This is a known fact for years, it’s the paint on the thighs and biceps that throw it off but it is the same.

Check this link for a comparison of the re-released shanghai mark iv and vi. Check around 8 minute timeframe shows in hand side by sides. He even says they are exactly the same except the arc reactor and chest plate.

I mean yeah maybe, but we have a video comparison showing a height difference. Sure it’s a silly thing to nitpick. But it’s still what we were shown. So like everything else if this forum it’s discussed and over analyzed lol.

Just goes to show, its impossible to argue with morons, best to just poke fun and move on, facts/logic/reasoning will do nothing to convince them

edit: was gunna respond to the deleted comment

at the 1:16 mark, where is the height difference? and do you think it could be caused by distance to the camera? posing of the figures? lighting differences between a red color and black... if you consider any of these factors and still think "nope they must be different figures" then all hope is lost

It has different paint and chest that all. This was all talked about YEARS ago, find an art of IM2 book. You are looking way to hard for something that is not there.

It might all be an optical illusion, but there's just something I like more about the look of the VI, other than obviously the triangle reactor... Might just be the way the reactor "shapes" the chest, if that makes sense..

I think the triangular reactor, the silver metallic parts of the MK6 fit better on what is an otherwise identical body on the MK4.
I feel the MK4 is very much a placeholder until the more powerful, new reactor Mark 6 bursts onto the scene in IM2.

And the MK6 did so much between the first suit with the new reactor, the battle with the hammer drones and war machine, battle with Whiplash, battle with Loki, battle with Thor and finally repairing the Shield Helicarrier.

Perhaps it's just the angel it's shot where the mark 6 diecast looks slightly taller.

Anyways, to those who doesn't understand Chinese. He said

1. Figure looks like plastic due to the high gloss paint.
2. It's a finger print magnet and also very easily prone to scratches.
3. Disappointed that HT didn't provide any UV light.
4. Was not a fan of the internals painted all black which lacks distinction.
5. Box and figure looks amazingly cool under UV
6. Overall, only buy if it's retail. Doesn't look good under normal lighting conditions but looks very cool under UV.

Thanks man!

Can anyone tell me where I can buy this one?
Beside SDCC pick up?
Sideshow told me that they are not distributing this one now and they are not selling this one on SDCC, not sure if hottoys will sell this one directly on SDCC

The price on ebay is crazy high, this one only worth like 400usd, it is just a re-pain product lol

You can’t pick it up at SDCC hot toys does not have a booth there, only sideshow.

Only thing you can do to get it at retail is wait it out to see if it goes up on sideshow in the next few weeks/ months. If you absolutely have to have it then eBay is the only route.

So far we just don't know if Sideshow will distribute this one or not, hopefully they will.
