That WM looked like it had been open before, there is no plastic wrappings around WM when he pulled it out of the box. Other than that, that was totally stupid and not even funny. I love the added laugh track, just shows how lame this video is. First and last time I will be seeing this guy's vids.

Watching these things get destroyed makes me feel sick. I literally feel uneasy and anxious watching them get wrecked, guess that's how I know im a geek. :lol

I'm gonna have to destroy my War Machine torso when i get my replacement... And the only thing wrong with it is a stripped screw. :(

I haven't heard back yet but I'll probably have to do that too as the arc reactor switch is loose on mine. Probably have to drive over it or something, that part's almost all metal :lol

Destroy your figures if your must (as per Sidesow's orders) BUUUUTTT, don't post that crap on You-Tube or this site, for the love of Mike!! Uggh I watched "Blow-show's" vid for 20 seconds and could watch no more.

Just unboxed this figure and like everyone says the weight is just overwhelming! No hot toys figure can prepare you for this, not even the hulk. Its just so sleek and heavy. I do have a problem with the screws on the head and chest, but hopefully I can buy a better tool to get them loose.

Did they make you videotape it or did you just do that on your own? I was worried for your fingers during that video.

Prior before I contacted SSC customer service, I had read about Sideshow giving a difficult time to a fellow boardmember about their photographic "proof." I decided to film it and send them freeze frame photographs of the process as my proof. I kept the video file just in case they would question my photos. Trust me, I did not feel good about cutting up the Thor head. It's very hard to see in the video, but it had some skin blemishes on the face. I would have rather chosen to just return the flawed head back to them, but they insisted I destroy the part within a few days after receiving the replacement head.

You're right.. when I watch the video again, I didn't realize how close my fingers were to the Dremel cutter. Damn! lol

It's just quite sad with the world we live in today. I know some might have better lives than others, people who are able to purchase this kind of hobby are still fortunate. I myself, sometimes i feel sad wether or not know if do i really need all of these. Even though it's my money and i earned and worked hard for it. Seeing a video like that just to get replacement as a proof still saddened me. No disrespect to others. But coming from a poverty level where my parents / we used to be and now be able to help them somehow be in a better position. It's hard to see that people easily can destroy a piece of art by other people or waste money. Atleast though, rather than destroy it sell it or put it to charity instead (like people who hit by typhoon haiyan, or people who need water in south africa) rather than wasting the whole figure. It's probably funny to other people who watched the video, who have stable job or good income. But for those who are not even able to find shelter or even buy a drink/food for there family needs most of those rather than wasting what we people can afford and replace easily. Sorry about the rumbling. I am a nurse, i get a good pay now but seeing those kind of video. I for myself know that i can feed a homeless kid or buy him a snack and water and he/she will be humbly blessed. At the end of the day though, it's our money we spent. It's our hard work. It's our own decision. But is it worth it? Take care. Sorry no offensement to all. Just my own sentiments.

Thanks for the nice comments BB&WSF, Webb Head, GearheadSS, Samuraimasta, Niltusk, and HeubertMichael!

And GearheadSS the display case is an Ikea Billy case: 15" deep (so DarthAlias is correct).

As far as QC issues - I have found none with mine (knock on wood).
Knees seem stiff - he can stand without the stand (I hope he will be able to remain that way over time), lights all working with switches working properly, and the gun on his shoulder has all tight joints.

Having read how people strip the tiny screws I never bothered testing the lights on mine. Since I never use them anyway it's more of a risk and hassle, the last thing I want to do is get a replacement.

Luckily, everything on the figure is minty fresh from the factory. I do wish the base was the same shape as the older HOA style bases HT released with some IM sets in the past but this one is okay.

What's your take in the weight? Does it feel great as most say?
Not getting this- but I am getting Robocop and I can just imagine how much metal they are going to put on that guy- compared the old one they released a few years back... That hasn't hold up very well...

Congrats on the fig, btw!

Thanks bud! :hi5: Good luck with your Robocop figure.

The weight of this figure is easily double the normal releases, so if that is important you will not be disappointed. The articulation is incredible as you can see from the variety of pics and videos posted, it really is top notch.

I see your point... :clap SS thing with destroying a figure is insane to me- yes on a $20 figure but $200? I guess they don't want to sell factory blemished "seconds" as it might ruin their new figure market. Still a waste.

anyone encounter any QC problems like scuffs and blemishes? a lot ppl from my local forum & toysdaily found paint problems

You are better off. I even got a stripped screw removal kit and can't get the chest compartment screw out. I think its in there for good. Good thing those batteries aren't. :slap

Finally have some funds to pick this up, anyone's EX waitlist convert recently? Or should I just buy one of the 100+ BBTS has of the regular.
