I much prefer environment/diorama displays. Its nice to have a figure in its own element. I wish all the figures came with them.

It would be a nice touch to get a base dio with every figure as well as the base black stand. I enjoy building Dios for characters when the time permits. A good base or environment sets off a figure that much more when done properly.

He does not display the base cause its too big. the problem is, if they're gonna make the base that big, they need to design it so multiple figures can use it. Maybe standing side by side or back to back.

if I'm understanding Brainiac correctly, he doesn't even display his figures.

You can normally buy the standard base on eBay for less then $10

I still don't like the standard bases because they are smallish and most have the HUGE Iron Man words on them

I bought an oval base for $4.99 from the hobby Lobby and once I new it was the correct size for my collection I used it as a template to make 4 bases from MDF. However, I do use the provided support rod.


I didn't do this because $5 was too much, I did this because the use pine it you could see the grain and knots, with MDF it looks smooth and the edge takes the paint different which makes it stand out.

Then you have to choose which bases do and don't get displayed which sucks because they are soooo cool looking
