If these figures are already coming out in Hong kong, does it mean it is too late for a revision of the arm pit joint? If you have a piece of 3/8 inch plastic connecting a diecast torso to a heavy diecast arm, isn't it only a matter of time before that plastic breaks? And for the guys saying to just be careful with it, don't you see a bit of disconnect with that stance? At $300 bucks the solution to a mechanical failure shouldn't be to "lower your expectations".

And I see the guys with the new ED-209 are getting rubber cracks and deterioration already. I don't collect robo-cop license, but I was surprised to learn the material from the new ED-209 was rubber once again, I mean didn't Hot toys learn any lessons from the first release?

Hot toys employee "I'm sorry Mr. Chan we can only afford three european supermodels for you this year"
Chan: "WHY!?!?!?!?!?!"
Hot toys employee "We are giving the mark 42 a metal joint, but we can save a bit of money by making it plastic"
Chan: "Make it plastic!!!!!!"

Umm yeah its too late. Unless they have a major QC issue

Nope im with u, I would rather they just use a new suit then turn the 42 into another generic red suit. :slap
:lecture :hi5: Agreed!

HT releases these in batches, so if there's a problem with a joint batch 1 is screwed but there's hope that HT will resolve the issue in future batches like they did for Spidey.

I mean if you're an Iron Man Pokemon master you gotta catch em all.
But more casual collectors will want the movie suit and it will probably be worth more.

The problem with HT releases now is that they are already asking ebay prices. No room for them to go up anymore haha.

If you change your mind and try to get your money back by selling it you go in the hole.

Anyone photoshop this figure to look like the A2 armor?
Photoshopped one picture with the color scheme based on what we've been shown.

EDIT: Fixed some of the color errors.

Fixed it.

Thanks Holo, it looked like off with it, to much gold in the torso region and it gave me a meh feeling.

After that little touch, I think it looks a little better now more of a red with gold highlights rather than 50-50 red gold. Still dissapointing that they arent using a different armor design.

yea...not 100% convinced yet. I think MK.42's design and color scheme compliment eachother well, due to all the little panel lines and details throughout the suit....the AOU scheme might look too busy especially in the lower half. Probably keeping my MK.42 order

I still think the Mark VII is pretty much perfect when it comes to a definite Iron man suit as well as it's color scheme. I think it needs a little bit of silver now. But I do wanna see official pics of the full suit WITH the helmet.

You know what? let me double check, maybe I just missed them. I didn't go through everything properly before writing first reactions.

It's an amazing figure guys, really really impressive. The proportions of the body are spectacular.

EDIT: yes, they are there, down the end under some clear plastic. :slap

:lol

Hello pal,

Congratulations for your figure!

I'm really anxious to know about the amount of die cast in this figure...could you tell me which parts of its body are actually die cast and which aren't?

I don't recall people were this angry when Tony continued to use the Mark VI in the Avengers after IM2? So why the hate on reusing the Mark XLII design and recolor it? We know that this is just the suit he starts the movie with...so don't be angry...

It's just getting repetitive it's marvel wanting to be economical same suit helps save money in terms of toys reusing the same mold and helps the special fix since the already have the digital model built the just need to repaint it and reuse it for this movie

My guess is b/c the way the 42 was used on screen whether it be breaking into hundreds of pieces or the fact that Tony used it remotely. The Mk 6 on the other hand was used as an *** kicking machine, and aesthetically was amazing.

It's not that exciting to me either. I was hoping for the bleeding edge style armor

Agree with you guys as well, I find the Mark XLII to be more aesthetically pleasing.
