Once again that is a bunch of crap. I still have die-cast cars and figures that are in great condition.
If thsi chips or has problems then its just cuz HT didntt do it worth a ****. I have the die-cast 1/4 endo and i love the weight it has.

Yea i just did a light search, apparently all you need to do is keep the dust off and wipe it down once in a while, shouldn't be that hard if you have a case for it

It just sounds like a really finicky medium, more so than plastic. I've never done any reading myself, but after doing some light research over the last few minutes I immediately noticed that diecast collecting forums have whole sections devoted to care and maintenance while we don't. Although, there is a whole thread here devoted to repainting the Iron Man undies, so I guess no collectibles are perfect :lol Just do your best to keep them clean, dry, and out of direct sunlight.

But I guess we won't know until they release them. Which feels like it'll take halfway to forever.

:exactly: Diecast has been around for a long time. People are talking like its a new untested or tried invention.:lol

Just because people use it doesn't mean it's problem-free :dunno

What are the chances these discast figures will have metal interiors instead of exteriors? What if the core is metal and provides the heft, while the exterior is still a plastic shell?

The thing about Diecast is that HT hasnt used it before like most of the companies who can pull it off... and they picked 2 hugely anticipated figures to test it out on to see if THEY can can make it work...

Thats actually not true the 1/4 endo has die-cast parts, i have it and its good quality.

Does anyone know if the February Release date is firm on SSC, because it will decide whether or not I keep my pre-order on this item for now or if I will un order and reorder later on.

It'll be fine, the Diecast Threepio is awesome. Pretty sure HT will consult with experts in the field rather than making thousands and just crossing their fingers and hoping for the best.

Nothing is problem free. I have stuff from the 80's that is Diecast and was played with and I still have it on display.

I'm up for this big time, I still can't believe how good Tamashii Threepio is.

I still hope HT release Mk.42 MMS only, with Pepper HS & Business suit for ms. Potts,

So, they already pushed back? ... I was hoping I could get it by april :slap not very realistic I know...

No not officially but it happens with 90% of iron man figures and these are diecast which is new for them. Its a really safe bet it will happen though and they almost always wait till the expected release month to push them back.

I think the've already talked about a diecast Mark VII, I'm sure, but I don't think they'll do it if people dislike this one and Iron Patriot

Yup :gah: ...

I believe they've mentioned redoing Mark 3 in diecast and the older armors as a very distinct possibility.

I think the mark 3 should be redone. Only armor worth updating since it has practically no waist articulation. The mark 1 and 2 had a 2.0 and the AU, and the 4-6 are pretty current.

I would also love to have the Mark VI milked some more, cant find it anywhere for less than $450 now :D
