The key is to remove the torso/abs first. The part of the shorts that are glued are under the stomach that isn't visible until you pull the torso apart.

Once you do that it should be simple to gently tug at the 4 glued areas without damaging the shorts or the figure.

Oh i have to yank the whole figure apart? i really don't like doing that. I'm not much of a modder, even when it comes to simple stuff.

No, it comes apart from the waist if if firmly pull straight up while holding the mid section the upper half will pull straight out.

Trust me it's no modding and is very simple. It really is simple and the ball and socket are big enough to handle it.

Well, hopefully I don't have this black mark problem. I've never noticed any before. My Hulk is slightly hunched

From my research even if you don't it's prob a matter of time if the shorts stay on. I had a very small mark on part of the leg under the shorts and I haven't posed my hulk at all. It's not noticeable because it was covered by the black shorts. I think it's whatever is in the shorts, don't even think it has to be posed anymore.

The material or dye or whatever in the shorts over time I feel is gonna leave marks, posed or unposed.

Feel free to not remove them, I've seen more harm from them being on than off. Just trying to help others from possibly staining their hulk

That's the exact position that will give you a black line on his stomach if you leave the spandex shorts on.

The upper half and lower half are connected by a sturdy ball joint. It's really not that hard to pull him apart. Just lift the shorts from the four spots they are glued and they will come off easily.

What's the purpose of the black shorts? There must be some practical reason for them being there.

They are there to hide the joints in the thighs. Without them the actual shorts will slightly bunch up in the joints with more extreme poses.

My shorts were not as easy as other to remove

The front and back glue spots were tough as nails to get up, I ended up cutting the black shorts and then going in with an exacto knife to try to scrape away the rest
Got most all of it out, the rest will not touch the stomach
I can still glue the shorts down if need be
Wasn't too bad

I went ahead and removed the black pants today, and took some photos while in the process to show how easy it actually is.

Here are a few that show how it connects

Taking the glue off

Pants off

Shorts back on

and back together

Maybe took about 10 minutes, and would be easy to put the black pants back on with just a little glue.
Sorry the photos arent perfect, took them with my cell phone.

I understand what everyone is saying about removing the black shorts, what Im asking is if there's a safe way to remove the black marks if you hadn't previously done this. Also has anyone else had issues with the paint under the jawline?
