I just pulled the waist line out without separating the body. They use cheap glue, and was only glued in 4 spots. I folded it down, not really worried about the legs. No plans for putting Hulk in a speedo :monkey3

Thanks for posting that! Was curious to see how it came packaged! Looking forward to seeing your Youtube vid! :clap

:hi5:
I should have it up sometime tomorrow, Its a cool set but not at the price I paid, 80 something bucks shipped:slap Its more of a 40 dollars set, though its packed well and presented nicely. My full thoughts will be clear in the review:wink1:

Does anyone else think the marks on the stomach that were posted a couple weeks back, might be caused by the grey/purple shorts and not the black ones? The mark had a blue/purple look to it, not black. We know Hot Toys uses too much dye, like Avengers Thor's red cuffs. I really hope it isn't his normal shorts, then he won't have any! :panic:

Awaiting a tutorial on how to remove the shorts

Maybe a custom towel

Really don't believe the problem lies with the outer shorts. It has to be the black spandex because I had a small faint spot underneath the spandex. Also we would see more stains on the knees and legs where the spandex doesn't reach.

Well I took off the pants and torso... Then didn't remove the black shorts. I do have two VERY slight black marks on the torso, but unless I'm looking for them, I'll never see them.

However, I'm ****ing pissed I did this. When taking apart the torso, the upper body flew out of my hand and hit the floor and now the right elbow ratchet is ****ed up. It still moves and has full range of motion, but all the clicks are gone and now I hear a grind when I bend it fully which takes a lot more force than it did before. **** me for caring enough about a black smudge UNDERNEATH the shorts waistline and damaging my figure as a result. My own stupid fault but still, mother ****er.

Sorry to hear about that. Been there before myself. Im gonna try to refrain from recommending this just because of things like this that happen. I was glad that I removed them but that's just me. I was able to enjoy the figure more because I was not as concerned about the staining issue afterwards. Never meant to cause any harm to anyone as a result. Was only trying to help prevent future frustration.

You did good BlueBoyScout and things happen.
I did not even attempt to remove the shorts as even if the stains were to happen on my figure, I will never see it unless I go out of the way to find it.

Just my own personal opinion to leave things as it is. There must be a reason for HT to include the black spandez beneath Hulk's shorts.

Not your fault at all buddy. You were very helpful in answering questions. Like I said, my own stupid fault.

Well this is the reason I took the Hulk apart on a bed. I don't trust my hands sometimes too.

I thought I was... Was standing over the side of the bed... Guess I should have been sitting on it. Still might not have made a difference, it came loose much easier than I anticipated so I applied way too much pressure and it went flying like 3 or 4 feet.

You guys better off taking the blk spandex shorts off. That's what I did.

I took the shorts off mine and put them on his head.
It was a hot day in manhattan, and Hulk didn't want sun damage to his lovely green skin.

Dang buddy sorry I hear that lol. Mine isn't hunched and I checke him the other day. Still it seems like if I do decide to put him in a more "power Pose" I might run into the stain issue. I did see however some brightness to his vein as in more blueish. Is that right? I'll make sure to take some pics and see if there's any discoloration to mine. Thanks for th tips sofar though guys.

The question now becomes, do I open the one I just got from my wait list conversion and sell the used one and take a little loss, or just live with the grinding right elbow...

When I read what happened with your Hulk, that was my first thought (after I read back a ways and remembered you had a second NIB). Personally it would bug me enough that I'd be fine taking a bit of a loss in order to keep the damage-free one.

Don't think its necessary to separate the body. Just tug on the fabric and the glue should give away.

Hey it could be worse, at least your kid didn't take Hulk into the bath tub. :monkey5 :slap

Does anyone know what the closest Tamiya paint color would be for Hulk? I'm wondering if you can dry brush a little where the black rub mark is to make the mark less noticeable.

Good thinking.
Might be best to mix some up yourself
Start with XF-54 Olive green and add drops of white or black to get the right mix.
After each mix, paint a single line on a piece of card, wait till it is dried and see if you are close.
Once it's mixed, you'll be sorted.
