That would be awesomely expensive indeed.
Why would that be so expensive, it's just a few extra parts, other than alternate Hulk heads, what else could he come with. A torn shirt and a few spare parts aren't such out there accessories as to raise price too high.
Look at the T-1000, 2 heads, spare arms, 2 whole outfits.
They have to do something to sweeten the Banner package for the more casual buyers because I don't think there's enough die hards to sell out the usual HT run and by the time he ships, Avengers hype will have faded and we'll be too far off from Avengers 2.
what if they gave the figure alternate forearms/hands, tearing shirt and alternate head neck to depict him in early Hulk out where he starts to go green with all his veins and stuff.
OK, let' follow this thought through. Your post said...
...so for body parts that's forearms, hands, head and neck. For clothes it would mean ripped shirt and trouser. Fair enough.
But what about the chest that is exposed through the ripped shirt? How would that work? As soon as you have a figure with an open necked shirt, you will at least partially see their chest, a ripped shirt would exaggerate this tremendously. To me, an alternative paint job on the chest says 'alternately painted body'.
And how exactly would you swap the forearms without having an alternately painted chest/body? As far as I am aware, you cannot just 'swap out' the forearms on any figure (could be wrong).
Finally, any alternate heads just love pushing up the price of a figure by $30 before you even get a chance to open up the shipper box.
It's a great idea my friend, I'd love to see it. I thought MR brought great humanity to the role and a sleeper hit of a figure would be amazing. But the kind of additions you speak of would just kill the price, just to get it all to work.
Not a bad idea, but better banner accessories, would be an alternate head for hulk... and alternate jointed arms.....
who's to say? we've no idea how the shoulder joint is designed
They should have given him a teddy bear:
Interested to see more of this Banner figure but not sure if it's one I'll get, not sure where he'd fit in in my Avengers display
