Got notification that my replacement helmet shipped from sideshow. Figure has been in a box since day one because it came busted. Annoying but loving these pics. Can't wait to add this to my modded ANH Vader, plan to complete the OT Vader trio with ROTJ someday.

OOHH...I wonder if my replacement arm is on the way too? Did they just ship it out or contact you first?

I went ahead and ordered from BBTS. I sold my RO Vader to fund it. RO Vader is an amazing figure and looks fantastic. But Empire Vader is my first exposure to Vader when I was 4 years old in the theater, and it was my first theatrical film. My mom convinced my dad I was old enough and wanted me to experience Star Wars with my older brothers. I am told I sat through the whole movie completely wide eyed and mouth open because I was so engaged. It changed my life literally and inspired me to draw. Long story short, Empire is still my favorite film of all time, and I am a sucker for anything Empire, especially Vader and Boba Fett. Hopefully BBTS ships him out tomorrow.

I reposed my Vader, did a little more futzing, to the final pose for now.

"No disintegrations."

I took the first two photos, with a better camera.

The last one, with the cell phone. So you can see the difference.

A great figure, no doubts!

P.S. I could adjust the belt, to sit lower, but it's a pain in the ***. It always moves.

Nice!

Only things I really see that bother me are the pleats and the belt not being able to adjust lower because it looks too tight. Why does HT continue with the pleats on Vader? Wasn't it only in ROTS he had them?

Empire Strikes Back set photo....pleats.

Yeah, it's the difference between vertical blinds and bunched curtains. One is hard creases at even spacing, the other is a mixture of hard and soft creases more randomly spaced.

I don't have mine yet, but if it's like the HT RO Vader, which had similar "vertical blinds" pleated inner robe, the even creases can be pulled apart and futzed to make it look more uneven.

Nice rudimus! Would you take a clear profile (side view) of the facemask? I’d like to see how the tusk angle adjustment looks in as much detail as I can...

Just got mine today. I'm still not totally feeling the long mask, but it does at least look better in hand and like something I could probably live with (although I'm still gonna keep an eye out for another RO head to replace it). The rest of the figure looks great though, and nice to see that the cape doesn't appear too long this time.

Here's the profile picture. It's a risky process & got lucky because I only broke the tusk off at the bottom while it remained attached on the top. Then applied some glue on the gap to help hold it in place. 7591981712_6V4A1401.jpg7520740656_6V4A1402.jpg

Nice work, although still not crazy about the way they've segmented the bars like that.

Thank you! Yeah unfortunately there's no fix for that split top bar, but fortunately it's not that bad in hand compared to closeup shots.
