Hey man, thanks for the reply and question. First off, yeah I totally agreed with Andre’s (Xenomorph) assessment of the regular Sneaky once I had him in hands; it’s true, the paint on it was cheap.

As far as my list, it has obviously changed over the years, I’m just going to list HPP armors and I’ll leave Sneaky out because it’s hard to place (both versions).
Top 5 HPP armors in no order:
Shotgun
Starboost (was my #1 for awhile)
Disco
Nightclub (I hope they make this in Diecast)
Hammerhead (needs Diecast too) and Hotrod tied

Out of the ones not produced yet, which ones would you buy?

Yeah, Starboost is really nice. I'd love that in diecast. It's hard to say what I would or wouldn't buy, because when you see it you want it! But I'd probably buy Piston and Fiddler. Hammerhead would be a definite. Imagine a diecast version with barnacles and rust and sea weathering - how cool would that be...

A truly amazing looking figure. Really love the colour, electroplating and the asymmetrical design.

Difficult to pose as the articulation seems quite limited. Also the legs are weak and won't support the figure in many poses without a stand. Would really benefit from being diecast.

Unusually for an Iron Man there' no weathering of any kind although I've managed to add my own (lost paint) on the hip flaps just moving the legs as I would on any figure.:(

Another thing to note is I damaged the repulsor hand just attaching it. It DOES NOT ATTACH without the the pointed area of the gauntlet touching and rubbing it (see last pic) The stand is completely inadequate.

Diecast would not help the joints just make it worse. Some of my older DC figures legs have very loose leg joints. All DC does is add weight and weight is hard on joints.

It's more about balance. The Sneaky is top heavy. A diecast version would make him less prone to fall over.

Your mistake here is thinking a diecast figure is cast out of solid metal. Very few pieces are actually made from metal, and the joints are just as likely to be made from Plastic.

I've got the DC Mark 5, 6, 45 and 46. I know how they're made. They all have solid metal thigh pieces and are plastic up top apart from the odd panel on the arms - that was the point - the top of the figure would be lighter than the bottom. Forget about joints, I'm talking actual leg volume - the Sneaky legs are very short and narrow - they're much thinner than any other Iron Man.

He didn't make a mistake. Most of the DC material is in the legs -- this gives it a lower centre of gravity and allows for really nice prolonged standing poses. :lecture

Plastic figures are great for flying poses.

DC figures are great for standing poses.

I did it! I finally solved the DC vs Plastic debate!
..right?

Sweet! next up - world peace.

Resurrection of a thread with one of my favorite HPP armors. Personally I prefer the Retro version of the 2 plastic figures but if the screen accurate colors were made in diecast, with engineering improvements made over the years, I think it would be one hell of a figure.

No need for diecast they can do the engineering improvements without diecast. Diecast figs are still mostly plastic figures.

Its not like there is an option, save for a holographic figure no one wants. Maybe they wouldn't have 6 shelf warmers in stock right now on sideshow if they were all $100 cheaper
