About this figure, wrong I was.

I will eat crow when I deserve it - I am absolutely thrilled with Yoda. It is still hard to stomach the price of admission, even with the free shipping and discount I had - BUT you get a good, good figure out of it. But judge him by his size you should not, as I mistakenly had.

I fear I'll take some flack for this one - but I am happy that this isn't a spitting image of the OT puppet - this one looks more real, sort of like what the puppet would have been modeled after if Yoda was a real organism. And in my mind, THIS portrait is what I associate with Yoda. Perhaps that just goes to show how good the OT puppet was at creating a realistic, lasting, mental image of the character.

And as cliche as it will sound - this looks MUCH better in person - significantly so. The eyes don't bother me one bit, and I actually prefer the open eyed sculpt to the closed one, which subverted all my expectations. I was expecting a water treatment would be necessary, and the fabric just drapes superbly out of the box. Really well done.

In short (no pun intended) - if you can drop the cash for this guy and feel the need to have a Yoda, then this is a tremendous representation of him. I am actually pleased enough with this guy that it softens my discomfort with other small figures I've had my eye on, like Rocket.

I have a hard enough time choosing which 1/6 figure to drop 200 on normally - but I really want Yoda.

If it makes sense, it's not that I don't think he's worth it in terms of quality - he looks amazing... but I'm not sure if I want to drop the 200 on something that small when I could get another large figure. But he does look amazing.

Only got him a week ago since i also have the sideshow version, but its a totally different figure. Really love the little guy and the diorama base and eyes closed HS make for a fun little display piece.

The Hasbro Yoda from their 12 inch line is pretty impressive for like $10. He has a cane, lightsaber, snake and necklace. Obviously not high end quality but if you like Yoda, worth picking up for sure.

I was thinking about getting this to see how it pairs with the Hot Toys eyes closed head.

Any tips on how to safely futz this guys hair to look more unruly? I think that it makes a surprizingly big improvement on an already excellent figure.

I remember someone on the forum gently teasing the hair with a q-tip/cotton bud. Haven’t tried it on my Yoda personally as I’m super wary of how delicate it seems.

Got this one recently, only the snake looks good draped on the tree. Looks amazing for a ten bucks figure, but sadly the lightsaber is a bit too big. He hunches though!
