This is the headsculpt I wanted the most. I would have like other headsculpts, but realistically this is the sculpt that I would be displaying. Shows the awsome horns while showing the great face Cate sculpt.

All comes down to cost. Hela is one of the cheapest 12 inch Marvel figures from Hot toys, so can't complain too much. Considering most higher-end 6-inch figures are about $100 dollars now with weaker paint apps, sculpts and materials...paying a little over double for something twice the size and also arguably twice the quality seems like a deal.

This figure looks good. Hope they keep pumping out villains.

The figure is so stunning you don't even notice the shoulders. You're too busy staring at that head sculpt.

Agreed, fantastic sculpt. And I can live with the shoulder joints if it means we can put her in some of those cool blogger poses. I wouldn't want another WW situation where you have to constantly keep her arms down by her side.

And plus those joints are nowhere near as ugly and distracting as, say, the knee joints on Harley.

Got my official "charging soon" notice today, and I only pre-ordered her this week. So even if you just recently pre-ordered, you should still be shipping/charging next week. That should put this split shipment nonsense to bed. :)

Looking forward to getting her. As for the shoulder joints, I'm already wondering if the attachment points of the cape can be adjusted to do a better job of camouflaging them.

Super excited to get this. I love the movie, love the character, and the likeness on this looks incredible.

Damn this figure turned out great, that's an absolutely cracking head sculpt from Hot Toys :yess:- shame there's no-un-helmeted head, but she looks so good I can forgive HT for that. :rock

Wow this figure turned out awesome! Hoping we get a el1ev1en or Vimial (sp?) long hair no mask sculpt.

Well the exposed shoulder joints were not fixed. No way I spending any $$$ to get this with that cheap looking action figure joint. For $200 plus I expect better.
I don't like nagging on figures but I have to agree with you. The shoulders are hard to ignore. And as a few others have said, we really needed the long hair and makeup head with this. For me it's an easy pass.

It is a shame they couldn't have done something with the shoulders as they do draw the eye and slightly detract from the overall beauty of the figure (imo).

They really smashed it on the likeness though.

Why did HT not go with the seamless upper body to hide those shoulder joints??

1) increased range of motion
2) less production cost
3) those who swear never to buy seamless bc of cracking

Hot Toys decided to be cheap and just used one of their existing bodies instead of developing a new one with seamless shoulders I guess. For the money they charge they should be ashamed.

Yep. Some people wouldn't get this if they went seamless as well. Personally it seems seamless works better on very large joints, like Hulk. I think that might be due to thickness of the material and overall strength of the joint. Normal figure joints might not look 100% the best, but long term value wise is probably the way to go.

You can’t make everyone happy. Release it with seamless arms and there would be complaints.

I caved and decided I needed the trifecta.. I think I'll go with the Eternal Flame

And the hysterical collector award goes to....
